I find this whole forum really strange. If OP is for real, she didn't asked to be attacked. I'm with some earlier posters who wondered whether we had "gone back to the past...a la 1950s or something"?

My DH would never tell me what to wear nor would I care. Just pick out something that looks nice OP and go with it. My inclination would be to not go to an event where people sound like such pigs. I always wear all black and put blazers or scarves to match. Maybe try that. One color steamlines a look and won't make your top look so big. I really don't get why so many people here turned on you. Joan from Mad Men wears plenty of high necked outfits that look great. That character is the quintessential sexy gal with a big bosom. Maybe take some ques from her...60s styles still look great today. Just search "joan mad men" in google images for ideas. The fact that your husband tries to dress you is a red flag for sure. I think she is onto something here. The OP insists that her breasts be on display at a work function, or she is frumpy. When suggested to cover it up, she gets very mad.
