Why can't Obama produce a birth certificate?

Oh good grief. No amount of evidence would satisfy you people. FWIW. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthcertificate.asp

Alright, so you think some races look like Vampires and it's my problem. BLOOD LIBEL! What race is Obama anyway?
Anonymous
That is what Donald Trump first showed the press and they said it wasn't the real birth certificate. Then he got his real birth certificate. Now we want to see Obama's real certificate, not the one printed out in 2007 without the attending physicians signitures... and that will do it!

If they can't find the original and definative certificate, just admit it.

Nice, is that your "I am so colorblind I forgot to even notice" defense? Is that why you didn't "get" the Obamacare witch doctor signs last year?

Because Obama did produce his birth certificate, and the officials of the state where he was born certified that it was genuine.

In addition, there was a birth announcement in the local paper, impossible to plant 50 years later.

This was, of course, after birthers claimed that the birth certificate was a forgery, and after numerous fake Kenyan birth certificates were floated around.

So the question is answered. There is no evidence whatsoever that Obama was not born in Hawaii, and all of the evidence shows that he was born in Hawaii.

Of course, even if he wasn't born in the United States, he would still be a United States citizen because one of his parents was a United States citizen.

So the question is triply answered.

But the birther response is, well where is the "original" birth certificate? After all that happened above, there is no question that even if Obama were to produce yet another piece of paper, it would not be good enough for the birthers. There would be accusations that it is a forgery. People would say that it's suspicious that he didn't release it for so long, just as someone above ludicrously says it's suspicious that a birth announcement was placed in a Hawaii newspaper in 1961. Really? You're suggesting they thought their african american baby might be President and therefore placed a phony birth announcement 50 years ago? If they were going to go to that much trouble, why wouldn't they just have his mother brought to the U.S. for the birth?

If you keep questioning a fact that has already been conclusively proved in multiple different ways, then you are either stupid or biased.

Imagine that you walk into a store and are accused of having stolen your watch, which you bought five years ago. The police ask you, where is the receipt? You offer a photocopy of the receipt you found in your files. Ok, they say, but where is the original receipt? I don't know, you say, but here is the original packaging and the warranty card I sent in. They ask, but where is the original receipt? I still don't know, you say, but here is a videotape from the store's security cameras showing me buying the watch in 2006. If they still ask for the original receipt, do you have any doubt they are either stupid or out to get you?

If this is the case he can't be President. You do know this right?

He is president, you do know this right?
HA HA HA HA HA

Heh. That's pretty damned funny.

Seriously, though. This is why there's a dedicated minority of loonbags who can't seem to let go of their conspiracy theory:

It's a bit like the 9/11 Truthers (who are comprised of far-right *and* far-right nutjobs): it meshes with their worldview so neatly, and hence so attractive a speculation, it's impossible to let go regardless of the lack of evidence.

Was it different from the Obama certification of live birth:?

It says "Certificate of live birth" at the top.

Wow! Maybe my DH is not really a US citizen?

What year was your DH born?

Late 60s.

If they can't find the real original certificate. Just admit it. Trump found his!

Also, while this has little chance of satisfying Captain Loonbag Teapants Moonbat (after all, there's always another facet to a good conspiracy theory), this is a good resource to send any relatives who may be old or infirm enough not to have the mental facilities to suss this stuff out for themselves:

It doesn't matter. The Supreme Court says he's a citizen.

End of Story.

Whoever runs against obama shouldn't debate him until he produces the original.

Can't believe I'm still engaging with Teh Stoopid, but the long and short of it is that Hawaii doesn't issue some sort of long-form document that most of the hucksters are saying Obama is lacking--and that the rubes are clamoring for.
