So now I have a blissful Earl Grey moment in the morning when I use my teapot and the matching teacup.

Also, I like to smell my fragrant roses in my front yard.

❤️ It sounds divine. Both the tea and the fragrant roses. May I ask what is the variety of rose that you are growing?

PP you replied to. I have a few fragrant hybrid tea roses that I baby, because they're not really made for our hot summers and clay soil. One that has done well in morning sun and afternoon shade is my favorite, Line Renaud by Meilland. The scent is incredible. You might have an easier time finding the climbing rose Zephirine Drouhin by David Austin. Bonus, it's completely thornless, so can be placed on your porch, where you can benefit from the scent. In general, it's much easier to find David Austin roses than the French Meilland roses, which is a shame, because Meilland is the best hybrid tea rose developer out there. Make sure you pick a resistant variety.

The tea is Mariage Freres Earl Grey Provence. The Earl Grey French Blue is also delicious.

OK, don't laugh at me: the tea set is a discontinued Noritake Studio Ghibli collection, for Hayao Miyazaki fans

I’m a different PP who asked about the China pattern - I LOVE this so much! It is so pretty. Reminds me of one of my all time favorites, Wedgwood’s Mythical Creatures designed by the Kit Kemp. Noritake China is really so lovely!

Lovely! ❤️

Forest Essentials is amazing. My brother travels to India on business every 2 months so I’m lucky to have a steady supply.

The libraries probably have their own copies.

That, or if they don't already have a copy, that's because they already decided not to display the book (for whatever heinous reason coming from whatever pressure group), and getting a free copy from pp isn't going to change that. I mean, I hate that some books are banned/burned. But donating books isn't an indulgence anyway, in the same way going to No Kings Marches is a duty (IMO) but not an indulgence.

I bought this machine actually for when my dad visited before he passed away because I had gotten him one years ago and he was such a coffee snob and I never drank it before but started a few years ago and the few minutes in the morning when I grind the beans, tamp them down, and brew the espresso is such a soothing routine.

Also, last winter I switched to tea some mornings and my husband bought me the matching Breville kettle that has different settings for different water temperatures (who knew different teas have different ideal water temps?) and that also makes me feel fancy. (Right before I go to work in my home office in my joggers and t-shirt...).

If you've never tried the Wallaby yogurt I highly recommend. It's hard to find but their vanilla yogurt is like ice cream.

A new record.

The 15 minutes I spend with my coffee, my NY Times games app and my ancient cat at 5:30 am, before my long workday starts.

Yes, this!

If you don't play Quartiles on the Apple News app I highly recommend it as well. I don't like their crossword puzzles as much as NYT (both content and format) but Quartiles is really fun.

Wait, I love this! Do they put them on the shelves? I would totally donate to this endeavor.

I'm not sure what qualifies as small but:

Daily crossword puzzle (I LIVE for Sunday mornings!)

Regular manicures and pedicures (I rarely cut my hair and I'm terrible about skin care but this makes me feel put together)

Sitting outside in the warmth for 10 minutes during the work day (I work from home and have to remind myself to get outside sometimes)

Snuggling with my dogs (I have two Labradors so if they are together they are wrestling but when just one of them sneaks up to my room they'll lay quietly with me)

Making my bed with amazing sheets, a fluffy comforter, and great pillows

Ice cream in bed while watching TV

Reading in the bath

I have started following the East Asian practice of warm foot baths before sleeping. And endless cups of warm water with herbs. I am sleeping better and my skin is just glowing beautifully.

Fancy herbal tea from the company that distributes tea to the Ritz Carlton and Waldorf and a Sulwhasoo sheet mask.

You do know that the Bible is the most banned book.
