Anonymous wrote:My husband ordered a teapot for my birthday that matches the 4 teacups we bought a long time ago. It's from a Japanese collection and not easily found here. My friend got me Lavender Earl Grey from Mariages Freres in Paris.

So now I have a blissful Earl Grey moment in the morning when I use my teapot and the matching teacup.

Also, I like to smell my fragrant roses in my front yard.

❤️ It sounds divine. Both the tea and the fragrant roses. May I ask what is the variety of rose that you are growing?

PP you replied to. I have a few fragrant hybrid tea roses that I baby, because they're not really made for our hot summers and clay soil. One that has done well in morning sun and afternoon shade is my favorite, Line Renaud by Meilland. The scent is incredible. You might have an easier time finding the climbing rose Zephirine Drouhin by David Austin. Bonus, it's completely thornless, so can be placed on your porch, where you can benefit from the scent. In general, it's much easier to find David Austin roses than the French Meilland roses, which is a shame, because Meilland is the best hybrid tea rose developer out there. Make sure you pick a resistant variety.

The tea is Mariage Freres Earl Grey Provence. The Earl Grey French Blue is also delicious.

OK, don't laugh at me: the tea set is a discontinued Noritake Studio Ghibli collection, for Hayao Miyazaki fans

I’m a different PP who asked about the China pattern - I LOVE this so much! It is so pretty. Reminds me of one of my all time favorites, Wedgwood’s Mythical Creatures designed by the Kit Kemp. Noritake China is really so lovely!

Ten years ago i bought a basic Breville espresso machine. I make my own iced espresso drinks with La Colombe Nizza beans. Delicious, made exactly the way I like it and much cheaper than buying coffee out!

PP that is so whimsical, I love your teapot collection. I’m also impressed and inspired by your knowledge of roses. Notes taken!

Sometimes I hit snooze in my alarm several times, and just enjoy laying in my bed, which feels like a cloud, and listening to the morning birds sing and chirp. I end up about 45 minutes late to work on those days, but it’s worth it.

Same. I bought the same one a year ago. Best money I’ve spent! I make myself the most delicious coffees. I buy beans and grind them myself. It’s so easy.

Same! We make cappuccinos every morning. Much cheaper than going to a cafe every day.

Right now I'm doing candles. The smallest sizes of Diptyque and Trudon, for example. I was doing teas last year, but you guys have convinced me to order the lavender Earl Grey.

People magazine used to be great, but it's gone down the tubes since that British tabloid guy took over. I follow some reddit subs that tell you what People won't, and that's free, so I guess not subscribing partially offsets the candles

House cleaner every other week

If I am doing a trip to Costco for the family (monthly), I always buy a box of raspberries or blackberries and eat them on the way home - the entire package

Ew you should wash the berries

I have to leave for work by 7:30, but if I can get out the door by 7:15 I let myself stop for 7-11 coffee (I don’t own a coffee maker and there isn’t one at work either, so it’s the only time I drink it)

The libraries probably have their own copies.
