No, but I heard about it too. Sounds like a coach was involved too?

I don't miss rainy soccer games and tournaments now that my daughter no longer plays soccer. And I truly don't understand the value of playing in the pouring rain. A drizzle is fine, but after that, there is no good soccer being played.

It was basically misting all weekend. A little dreary but not dangerous or detrimental to the games.

Sunday at Lewinsville Park, punches thrown from what I saw, then two yellow cards and game over.

Heres the fun thing about soccer schedules, we can at least hone in our shame to this population: https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/49425/schedules?venue=19679

Fun fact: all girls brackets.

Not at Quantum Field.

Was the fight *after* a game? If I'm reffing a game and an actual punches-thrown, coach-involved fight breaks out, I'm abandoning the game. Game over.

Which is commonplace anywhere in the world that doesn't have security forces on hand to break things up. I have a friend who refs in Germany, and he's had to abandon games before.

I heard it waas a boys team. Opposing coach stepped on a player on the ground out of touch and that team's players started punching the coach. This is second hand. I did not see it.

Maybe a boys team showed up at the wrong field and decided to punch a coach.

The Cannon Cup is one of those tournaments for clubs to play their 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th teams. Its not competitive.

All of them are. We’re in Virginian and the top brackets across the board are just another local tournament with one or two middling outside DMV clubs who like to do a Memorial Day tourney.

I’ll never understand why Jeff Cup is some sort of March tuneup instead of a mid-May to early June tourney. Just kidding, the clubs have to divide up their piddling cash cow tourneys throughout the year…

It would be great to have Jeff cup later in the spring season. I find my boys are usually in better form toward the end the season.

People like you give soccer parents a bad name. Stop being a jerk. Its competitive for the kids playing.

Its funny how a non competitive person can talk about competitive tournaments... lol
