Why might someone need to buy 16+ gallons of whole milk from Costco?

When my son was a teen, he drank half a gallon of milk per day - I used to joke about buying a cow!

+1 Costco milk usually doesn’t expire for a few weeks and my now-21 year old kid easily drinks half a gallon per day when she’s home from school.

So disgusting.

+1. Tepid water with a squeeze of lemon is all anyone needs.

If you freeze milk and it expires, when you thaw it, wouldn’t it be chunky and sour?

What do they do with the milk?

On special occasions, it is poured over the idols as part of a ritual by the priests.

And when you have multiple idols, you need more milk.

We don't sacrifice anything in the US. Against the law.

Although sacrifice of a goat is still done in some parts of India, mostly in villages

Pp. I have never seen a sacrifice in my entire life

I have seen it in movies though

+1. Costco, started as Price Club, was designed to be a provider to small businesses- my parents were one of its first members. Haven’t you noticed all the frozen food - especially Asian - is what you get in restaurants?

None of your concern? My 2 teens go through ~6 gallons total a week.

As the mother of a lactose intolerant child, I’m curious how you deal with storage. Do you buy 6 gallons a week or is it more like 2 at a time, max?

We just keep it on one shelf, small fridge. Its not a big deal.

That seems a bit much TBH

My freshman year roommate had the most disgusting eating habits. Just pure trash food and she washed it all down with no less than a full gallon of milk a day. :shudder:

What's wrong with drinking milk? Are you a vegan? Do you eat meat?
