| Why would you not send out acceptances/reject at the same time to everyone playing that weekend? Telling some teams in December and making other teams wait is aggravating and makes you look sloppy and disorganized. |

Text is here : Dear Team Reps and Coaches, We are finalizing the brackets and the acceptances for the Girls Showcase Weekend for the 2026 Jefferson Cup. We will be posting those acceptance and bracket lists this coming Thursday, January 8th by noon. You will be able to access those lists at the following link... https://system.gotsport.com/org_event/events/45172/teams?showall=groups Our committee has worked exceptionally hard this year to work through a record number of entries and unfortunately we are only going to accept about 65% of the teams that applied. Bracket Placement – Please understand that our committee puts in at least an equal amount of time working on bracket placements as we do the actual acceptances. Our success over the years has been an incredible amount of ties and one-goal games. However, bracket placements are not final until schedules are released, but understand these changes are rare. Bracket Change Request Form – please note, requests are not guaranteed. Our Selection Committee will review all requests made via this Request Form for possible changes. Requests could take 4 or 5 days to process and review Non-Accept Evaluation: if you have additional information on your team that we may have overlooked, or you would like your team to be considered as an alternate, should another team drop from your age group, please complete this Acceptance Request Form for reference. Please note, not all requests are guaranteed to be fulfilled. Each request will be evaluated by our Selection Committee and may or may not be accommodated. We are unfortunately accepting teams to our limits. Re-evalutations could take up to 4 or 5 days to process as well. We are going to ask that if you have Bracket Placement Requests or Acceptance Requests that you use the forms above and not email those requests. Those forms go directly to the committee evaluating the requests. But if you have further questions or need other information feel free to reach out to us at any time. I'm really hoping they reject our team. This is my least favorite tournament by a mile.
Overpriced nasty hotels, muddy fields (loathe dealing with muddy cleats and uniforms when out of town), crappy weather, and frankly: I hate Richmond. |

I like it because it is one of the only top tournaments that's within easy driving distance. We've only played on turf fields there. Richmond the city is cool, the suburbs where all of the games are held, are boring. |
