Richmond Kickers ran the Ultimate Cup and Richmond Strikers ran the Jefferson Cup. My DD's teams have always played in the Jefferson Cup, but my son's team was never "good" enough to play in the Jeff Cup and would play in the Ultimate Cup as their early Spring tournament. When the two clubs combined under the Richmond United name, the tournaments rolled over into Richmond United. Fields are essentially the same. Ultimate Cup is the weekend before any of the Jeff Cup events. (February 28 to March 1) Jeff Cup stuff starts the following week. |
| the worst thing about club soccer are those terrible jan, feb tournaments. too damn cold. |
Rather the cold than July August games in the South! |
ha, they disabled the link. cool backdoor trick tho good effort. |
ugh, good point. |
Ok, so since we now know the jefferson cup admin reads this board, could you please post the accepts/rejects so people can plan their lives? You are way behind schedule this year! |
And Jeff Cup admin since you’re on here haha - explain how you decide where to place teams? Past performance only? This season’s performance only ? Combination of both? Which is more important if both? Why do you switch teams in and out of top brackets? So many questions. |
+100. We don't care what bracket! We don't care if we are in or out. Just let us know! |
| At this point I don’t even care if we got in, it would just be nice to know one way or another as that’s the first weekend of spring break. |
Which age group. Girls showcase here - u get acceptance email and able to book hotel through their link. We got ours a while back. |
High school boys? They had a bunch of teams listed on the hotel link (that they took down) but it was only maybe half the usual number of teams so the list seemed incomplete. |
\ THIS IS EXACTLY OUR ISSUE LOL |
We have not gotten an acceptance email for Girls showcase yet and the website still says 2026 Girls Showcase – coming soon |
|
Email today said Thursday noon for girls showcase
The work around for hotel teams was disabled today Many “non local” clubs know their status already |
What email? An email they sent out to the clubs? I'm confused. Did they send out acceptances to some organizations, but not others? Why would you be so dilatory with your local customers when they are the bulk of your client base for all the other Richmond United tournaments? |
