It is "iffy." You shouldn't cancel tonight for "iffy." Make contingency plans. But, it is foolish to cancel if not needed. |
| I don't get how they don't even acknowledge they made a mistake. |
hoping boss lady and school board don't find out.
|
Thats what's the most frustrating. They sent out an email saying they didnt make a decision yet but they completely omitted that they goofed. A simple "Earlier this evening, we inadvertently uploaded an operating status message for tomorrow indicating a decision had been made. This was an error. Fcps continues to watch the weather and will make a decision no later than ____ am." Would have gone a long way. |
| No one is saying they should cancel. They should call the 2 hour delay and everyone can proceed with plans and be prepared for a successful, slightly shorter school day. It's not a huge deal and is prudent. |
^this. FCPS NEVER will admit a mistake. |
| WTH? Someone hit the submit too soon? |
| DCPS didn't get canceled or delayed. Doubt FCPS will. |
| Capital weather gang updated their forcast |
| Cold rain. Do you really want your kids to be in school in late June? |
| I don’t think it will happen. The most it will be is slush. Looks like we have to wake up early, especially the middle schoolers, just to check if fcps made a decision! It is 10’olock. Do something FCPS. |
Most kids don't go to school during the last week of school anyway. The roads will be dangerous tomorrow. And kids will be cold. Let them have a little excitement with the first snow day of the school year, Jeez |
CWG: WINTRY mix update: Temperatures are running a degree or two colder than expected this evening, which may allow for the wintry mix to extend a little farther south and east than previously forecast as it arrives between 5 and 7 a.m. Tuesday 2-hour delay doesn't mean they will be in school in late June. |
Didn't they post their decision at 11pm once? It's like they try to post at any time other than a reasonable hour whether its 11pm or 4 am |
