2 Hour Delays Tomorrow?

Sucks for the kids, at least I'm still working remote so no cold rain for me.

Why does it suck for the kids? Didn't they just have a 5 day break?

If middle school didn't start so early we wouldn't have to consider these kinds of delays.

Well, we would if they just swapped elementary school for middle school start times.

The answer is and always has been more busses.

Stop looking at the apps and bookmark the National Weather Service.

It’s 35 at Belvoir and 34 at Dulles, and it’s 8 am and it’s only going to get (slightly) warmer during the day. It’s just rain. I can’t believe all the teachers who were mad in the comments on FB. How unprofessional.

FCPS, do not dash their hopes.

They didn't sleep enough over the five day weekend? Mommies like you are the reason kids are so poorly behaved.

DP, but 🙄

Give it up for FCPS, they made the right call.

Yes but having to go to school 5 full days will be shock to system since never do that. Hopefully they have some SEL classes to go over how to deal with it.

That is embarrassing. I can't imagine complaining about having to go to work and do my job on a public platform with my employer listed in my FB profile. Just a bad look. Keep that in your text messages. If teachers want to be treated as professionals they need to tell some of their colleagues to act like it.

I think the posting a delay and then pulling the delay caused confusion and issues.

It was a boneheaded move by someone for sure, but it's not that hard to realize it was an error and then proceed as usual. It would be a lot worse for them to mistakenly say school was open and then be delayed or closed, in terms of parents coordinating childcare. People are just whining because they got their hopes up. I can't believe the way adults behave on FB. No wonder kids are a mess. Look at who is raising them.
