How do I deal with the growing support of remigration?

The DHS officially endorsed remigration this year, and many conservatives I know say their dream is the abolish the 1965 immigration bill, bring back the Chinese Exclusion Act, and send anyone of non-European descent out of here. It’s their most important issue by far, and it hurts if you are not of European descent

DHS is literally making posts on X that explicitly use the word remigration.
What utter BS ! You are insane OP.

This administration supports legal immigration.

Do you have proof of this? Where is MAGA clearly saying they support it?

Is it cold in Russia? Is this posting helping you afford heat?

My maga voting relatives have been saying they "want all the "foreigners" (including legal immigrants) out since I was a kid. Does that count?

I'm dealing with the racism right now by staying home as much as possible.

By traditional measures if not contemporary ones, I have always been a liberal Democrat. But I have come to recognize that unchecked, unmanaged immigration, both legal and illegal, has had a terrible effect on our society.

A little immigration is healthy, interesting, and economically useful, especially when immigrants are thoroughly vetted to ensure that they will quickly assimilate and contribute.

A lot of immigration, especially when it comes from countries that do not share our western traditions and values, simply dilutes and overwhelms a culture. I now recognize that I was badly mistaken on the issue of immigration. Democrats need to hold themselves similarly accountable for these errors.

All he had to do was follow Obama’s example— the myopic stupidity of his inner circle still boggles the mind. I saw Biden was losing on this issue by early 2023 and I’m a basic nobody out there in the hinterland. How could they BE so wrong?! And I also could see, Trump or no Trump, that the GOP would eviscerate the Dems on this issue and win.

Border security is national security and that’s a president’s #1 responsibility to his country.

How do Dems not understand this?! Their stupidity gave us Trump. I voted for Biden & thought he did an admirable job in many ways, but this oversight changed our whole country for the worse, it’s tragic & almost unforgivable.

I am an immigrant in DC area and I don't feel or experienced any hate so far.

Some people are going to be really disappointed when they realize that attitudes towards Trump and how he or his administration have handled critical issues don’t necessarily apply to the issues themselves. As much as it’s comforting to think only bigots want serious reform re: immigration (including remigration), escalating concerns about h1b (and the assorted and adjacent programs), housing, traffic, national debt (including the insane amount of foreign aid), and general strain on resources like welfare and healthcare has many people, especially young people, frankly over liberal immigration policies. That’s before you add in concerns about violent crime like sexual assault, financial crimes and fraud, and the lack of assimilation of more recent immigrants (for those pretending they don’t know why there’s an issue now versus 1910 or something).

If anything, many on the right are furious with Trump’s flip flopping on the issue ($100k fees for h1b one day, wanting hundreds of thousands of Chinese college students the next). That he only gets fired up when convenient but young people need jobs and don’t want to compete with the entire world. They witness the rampant cheating and financial aid fraud by immigrants in college as they struggle to get ahead. They want affordable homeownership and resent people who don’t prioritize American culture, norms, language, etc living in nice homes, even invading entire areas like Dallas/Frisco TX, Morrisville, NC, obviously Minneapolis, etc. that have been transformed.

Take heart, OP. This administration supports “remigration”

but the American people do not.

NONE of this is true. The OP cannot support any of her wildly false assertions.

Are you paying attention, at all?

Read the messaging from the White House and DHS. This is 1930’s Germany stuff, and you are the useful tools looking the other way.
