How do I deal with the growing support of remigration?

Anonymous
The hate for immigrants is getting more and more palpable. I wish it was still like 2015. The DHS officially endorsed remigration this year, and many conservatives I know say their dream is the abolish the 1965 immigration bill, bring back the Chinese Exclusion Act, and send anyone of non-European descent out of here. It’s their most important issue by far, and it hurts if you are not of European descent

I agree that the powers that be would LIKE to do that, but in reality the white nationalists are a minority. Clock is ticking towards 2026.

No one except white nationalists even knows what “remigration” means. The concept itself is not even remotely popular.

Would you support remigrating anyone that came after 2015?

Why would that be a good idea?

+1. Please go look at the postings of the Homeland Security folks. It reminds me of Nazi propaganda in the 1930s. The pictures of white families being protected from foreign “invaders.” The calls to join ICE to save the homeland. So many non-white Trump supporters are in for a rude awakening.

Support for this is NOT growing. Every poll shows support for Trump’s immigration policies is declining. It’s down to the 30’s for his approvals there.

+1

Trump is even more of a failure on immigration than Biden was.

Yes OP it hurts to know so many people feel this year. I'm a POC and child of immigrants but was born here. To many people I will never be "American." It sucks but I try to focus on the positives if good things I have.

Ironically its made me much more attached to my hyphenated identity.

You should work on not giving a crap what other people think. Leaning into your "hyphenated identity" just means that you buy into a hyper racialized world. Even Jean Paul Satre, a full blown Marxist, had the sense to note that "hell is other people" meaning that hell is the one dimensional version of you that exists in the minds of others. Stop worrying about rural white supremacists in the backwoods of Oregon and start building the life you want, my friend.

Curious are you a POC? I’m not PP but it’s hard to take you seriously when people from my background are being thrown into vans bc of their ethnicity.
