The most they will do is cancel or vastly reduce H1B and remigrate people who immigrated under dubious means (under or non vetted, no longer under TPS, marriage fraud, etc)
I don’t see why we should encourage or allow mass immigration of people who undermine American employment or whose values do not align with American values. |
I think it’s probably worth considering if you’re able to get out now, while you’re still allowed/encouraged to. At some point next year, theres going to be a shift in the narrative - away from remigration and towards scapegoating and incarceration. After next year, immigrants will begin getting rounded up on a massive scale, unlike we’re seeing right now, and at that point, you will NOT be allowed to leave. The writing is on the wall. We’ve seen this before - Germany 1938. You can escape now, or you can die in a camp in 2028, just like jews did in 1942 Germany and Poland. |

You must be very far into the fasciosphere if you think this is real. Most white Americans, rural and urban, couldn't care less what color you are, where you originally come from and how recently you came over. |
It’s non-stop harassment if you are Hispanic |
+1 I don't doubt that anyone who looks Asian will be next. This is why my spouse, who is white, dropped their long time Trump voting friend. They said they couldn't look at our biracial children in the eye knowing that their friend voted for a racist pos. |
Technically its Afrikaners, but yes, agree. |
Yes, I don't think this DHS round up of law-abiding families, which are the VAST majority of immigrants, regardless of their status, is what some Trump voters envisioned. Trump et al claimed it was going to be violent criminals and then folks find out it is their neighbors who keep an eye on their home when they are out of town and swap treats at the holidays. |
So long as they don't think you're taking their jobs, live in their neighborhoods, compete with their kids for spots in college, speak a different language, or practice a scary foreign religion...then yeah they totally don't care. |
For the biracial families out there, does moving to the non-White country ever become a possibility ? |
This. The current moment sucks. But real America is a melting pot, and diversity is our strength and joy. MAGA has a flawed idea of American culture, which is based in freedom and democracy and respect for all individuals. This quest for some fictionalized idea of 'Murica is a minority obsession, and it will get quashed. |
We keep thinking sanity will prevail but time and time again, it does not. Look at where we are. Americans chose this for the second time. |
Do you have proof of this? Where is MAGA clearly saying they support it? |
| Support for this isn't growing, except for among people who are influenced by online troll farms/bots. |
But who decides what those values are? That is also changing. We'll see what is criminalized in the future. |
