Trashy trailer-park looking for the most part.
Unless someone is a sailor pirate, a Pict warrior, Polynesian warlord, or a 1%er biker, it just looks try-hard and silly. A discreet one hidden by clothing 100% of the time, is not that bad. Sleeves, neck tats, hands, feet, legs, face, etc. are just "oh look at me! I have no self-esteem, I need something to make me unique!" And ironically they always all look alike. Trashy. |
I don’t care if people get one or not. Their body, their choice. I work with younger people who have visible tattoos and they are all good workers. That said…the tattoos do distract from their natural beauty. I don’t know why they do that to themselves. Why purposely make yourself ugly (but that’s a whole other convo)? |

They fade.
They are permanent based on a moment in time. |
| I personally wouldn’t get one because while I think it would look okay on me now, I would know that when I get old(er) and my skin wrinkles then it will look absolutely hideous no doubt. |
Yup. It screams out, "I'm easy" |

NP. They cause cancer and are one of reasons there has been such a spike in cancer in young people.
That is all I think about them. |
You all sound so boomer dumb. 40 percent of Americans under the age of 35 have at least one tattoo. The workforce is going to have to get over tattoos. One guy from my work has sleeves, and has now done one of his hands. Not for me, but he’s got a JD, MBA and leads an important division at our major company |
“Just because people are rich doesn’t mean they’re not trashy.” |
| Trashy. My HS and college age kids think they’re trashy too. |
| I have always hated them and don't have any, neither does my partner. |
| Nothing gets DCUM harpies riled up as tattoos or nails on perfect strangers 😂😂😂 |
| I'm old so I don't like them. I think they detract from a person's appearance. I associate them with biker gangs and ex-cons, because, like I said, I'm old. I keep this opinion to myself except on DCUM. |

I have observed a recent change in attitude towards tattoos from the boys I know. They see it as girly and aren't interested in getting tattoos. And I can see why. Tattoos were so masculine for so long but in the last 5-10 years there's been a huge growth of young women getting what can only be described as decorative tattoos, especially multiple tattoos covering large areas of skin. It's become an extension of makeup and jewelry. And strictly from an artistry perspective, many of those tattoos are indeed talented and creative.
But it does mean tattoos are now increasingly associated with women, less so men. And that is what I am seeing happen. |

Whatever you think of her, it's apt. |

I see a person with tattoos the same as a dumpster with graffiti: worthless garbage. I do not care if you have a PhD, are wealthy and successful: you are absolutely garbage, most likely evil, not to be trusted, and are to be avoided lest the stench of your immorality contaminate my space. You may overcome my bias if you have repented of this stupid thing and regret what you have done.
In historical times, pagan, heathen tribes would make cuttings in the flesh and tattoos as a memorial to the dead. God says not to defile yourselves by this filthy conduct: Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD. (Leviticus 19:28) Tattoos have from old been the mark of the criminal class, the drunk and drug addict. It is a foolish person, unwise and irresponsible, who gets a tattoo. It is a black mark, a smirch on our culture, that so many people think getting a tattoo is a good thing. Fortunately, I have imparted my vehement disdain for tattoos to my children who scowl with disgust when they see somebody with tattoos. |
