What do you think about tattoos?

Agree! I’m in the 95%.

White trash. I had some one apply for a job who was tattooed on her arms, neck, and face. I gave her a perfunctory interview and sent her on her way.

Racist.

Too trendy and common, looks stupid.

I hate to say it but it makes me think less of them. Just so trashy.

Folks who get tattoos suffer from low self-esteem.

Trashy, low class, dirty, filthy, and disgusting are the nicest comments that I can make about them. The worst are the folks who get a tiny tattoo. The best is a large cross tattoo covering one's back like Sean Penn had in a movie based in Boston. Still disgusting & low-class, but at least it was interesting.

FWIW I assume that anyone with a tattoo is either a sex worker or, at least, carries an uncurable type of VD. Not kidding.

Two of my three best friends have them. I don’t. We are all 50ish highly educated professional white women.

I agree with your first point re low self esteem.

Your third statement is stupid.

I had two finalists for a job and they were totally evenly matched in terms of qualifications. The deciding factor was the visible tattoos. It implies poor judgement.

Going down in popularity, a lot of celebs are taking them off.

I wonder what you think you will look like when you are 60.

I don’t care if people get them and it doesn’t factor into things like friendships, job candidates, etc for me.

However, I am absolutely not attracted to men who have tattoos. I can handle one, but multiple tattoos or sleeves are so gross to me.

The worst are tattoos of girls - instant turn off and I will never go out with the guy again and I actually wouldn’t be friends or hire him. My DC’s dojo has an instructor with sexy girls tattooed all over legs and I have zero idea why they would even consider hiring him.

Except I am extremely attracted to Polynesian men with native tattoos. No clue why.

Trashy. I automatically think less of someone who has one.

some tattoos are nice, but i hate it when people make it their entire personality

Tattoos that are a part of someone's culture, like Polynesian tattoos, are dead sexy. All other tattoos turn me off, but one of the kindest people I know has some really gross facial tattoos.

I had to face up to my prejudice and learn to ignore them.
