Really? We live two blocks away and I honestly didn’t know that. It was always the 1400 block of R, not the 1400 block of Swann. IMO they should be for violent crime like assault. Crimes against people directly are very different from shoplifting etc. People are killed in carjackings.

Yes. While we may say that a 15 year old brain is not fully developed, a 15 year old who is not mentally deficient absolutely knows right from wrong.
These teens know their records will be wiped clean when they reach a given age. That practice should absolutely be halted.

Again, not verified. People often do a bad job of estimating things like this (the number of gunshots, the number of people present, etc.). Yes, even cops. The ultimately arrested two people. We have know idea if the other people present were attackers or onlookers at this point, and the fact that they scattered when the cops showed up is not evidence of guilt, but is to be expected.

I have seen wild speculation about the number of attackers and the nature of the attack on Twitter and would just caution people to wait and see how it unfolds. You weren't there, you don't know.

Curious to see how this case turns out. Also hopefully mpd and the US atty's office will work better together with pirro in charge. I don't like her, but I want her to succeed in bringing cases that hold up in court and put dangerous people behind bars.
