Yes, to me he is one of the worst casting mistakes in the history of film. He had such a little mean face, not attractive enough. He needed to have quiet kindness and more presence.

I thought he absolutely had a quiet kindness. One of the problems of making those films into movies is that so much was observed by Katniss in her own mind—she knew he was good with people, easy in interviews, people listened to him, etc. It was very “tell, in my head” and it proved hard to show that on the screen. But I liked him as Peeta, a lot.
