No way. Colin Firth is the ONLY Mr Darcey. I’d say the BBC version was perfectly cast but it wasn’t. Darcey, Wlizabeth, Collins, Charlotte, Lydia, Kitty, Mary, and the Bingleys were cast perfectly. Jane, Mr and Mrs Bennet were off.

I used to watch that movie over and over. I started pretending the end of the movie was when Jo turned down Laurie. I hated old Amy.

Agree- all of the robbers and the hotel owner were perfectly cast. Julia Roberts is one of my favorite actresses but I didn’t like her in that role. She was forgettable. Couldn’t figure out why these men were fighting over her.

Yes and no. Some movies are great but anyone could have been in some of the roles and it still would have been great.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that Kate winslet was perfectly cast in titanic even though the movie was a blockbuster that won a million awards. Leo, however , was perfectly cast as was Kate winslets fiancé.

Opposite for me. She was perfect and DiCaprio looked like a kid.

The 2004 George Wickham was perfect. Actually very handsome and charming. BBC, no.
