Man and Woman Shot and Killed Outside Capital Jewish Museum

While it's certainly possible to criticize Israeli gov't policy on it's merits, this circular logic exemplifies how more often than not it's just anti-semitism.

The difference between racism and anti-semitism is that racists generally view their racial/ethnic/religious group as superior to others, while anti-semites view a specific group (Jews) as solely responsible for the world's ills in some way. With this logic, Israel is solely responsible for the world's ills and in this particular case, the Jewish diaspora's ills. If Israel did not exists, Jews in the diaspora would be safe--or "safer"--whatever that means.

Killing these two agents of the state Israel won’t help Gazan kids from starving.

Unfortunately, being a diplomat makes you a target. And this was an event aimed at diplomats.

This was certainly a horrible event but honestly, I’m not surprised. Israel is inflicting such horrors on Palestinians without remorse or even an acknowledgement that they are harming humans and that stirs up anger that can tip unstable people over the edge.

Israel is not upsetting people around the world by simply existing. They are committing a brutal genocide. No one is suggesting they are responsible for “the world’s ills” but they are 100% responsible for their own abhorrent actions. If Israel represents Jewish statehood, how is committing war crimes in their name making Jewish people safer? Where do you expect extremists to direct their anger?

This.

The thing that people thinks help them (a nationalist Jewish state) is actually the thing that hurts them. Israel was never created to actually help the Jewish people - zionists have been selling a false prophet.

I suppose similar comments were uttered in Nazi Germany to justify murder.

Well, yes. Nazi Germany and Zionist Israel have a remarkably similar history.

Unsurprisingly, your snarky retort demonstrates that you missed the point completely. Or, you are attempting to deflect.
This murderer was just like the Nazis and anyone who attempts to justify his actions are right there with him.

Justifying - no
Explaining there is a cause here and then an unfortunate effect - yes

Nothing can justify this senseless murder. Nothing.
Stop trying. There is no justification.

Right - he's like the Nazis, and also just like the IDF. Two sides of the same terrorizing coin.

It will be interesting to see how he got his information about this event. There’s plenty of Jewish places to attack in DC in you’re an Anti-Semite but he specifically picked the one event aimed at diplomats and foreign policy employees in DC. The event’s location was not advertised online.

So yeah, this guy didn’t just happen to randomly shoot this event because he wanted to kill Jews (eg, the Tree of Life shooting). Someone else had to tell him about this event’s place and time.

Way to get sympathy for your cause…horrible. May they rest in peace.

This.

Assassinating people in the street is horrifying.

Kidnapping and murdering civilians at a music festival and elsewhere is horrifying.

Relentlessly bombing and starving thousands of civilians over months is horrifying.

Confining thousands and thousands of civilians to live in an ever-shrinking, squalid refugee camp for decades is horrifying.

All of these things can be -- and are -- true at the same time, and the horrors are directly related.

With its immense power, Israel could have and could adopt a strategy to stop the madness and has chosen not too.

And let's be honest - 2 Palestinians have been killed AT LEAST every hour by Israelis since this story broke.

But we all know one Israeli life is about equal to 1,000 Palestinian lives.

This is how I feel too. This killing is wrong. But I understand the anger that led to it.

Oh shut up.

So you understand the anger behind 911 too? What a stupid thing to say.

Why, because they are Jewish. How many non-Jewish people were murdered in the USA last night

You are justifying his actions.
Just like Luigi Mangioni.
There is no justifcation for cold blooded murder.
Just stop.

Huh? Doesn’t Israel explain its actions in Gaza by saying they must kill or be killed? Or do you view their actions as cold blooded murder too?

That's b/c the Free Palestine movt is just another spliter faction of Marxist-Socialism that seeks to sow anarchy. It has nothing to do with the plight of Palestinians directly--they're just the cover cause. Luigi Mangione and this guy are cut from the same cloth.
