Did everything change "tomorrow" when three Palestinian-American 20-year olds were shot in Burlington, Vermont? That happened last year and I don't see any zero tolerance for anti-Muslim behavior.

What are you talking about? People get shot in America all the time. People get shot in DC all the time.

This is an awful incident...and particularly to kill diplomats there will be repercussions. But this isn't going to represent a sea change for violence in America due to religion, race or nationality.

Yes, but this event will be extremely politicized given the victims and unique circumstances and unfortunately it will likely be used to for nefarious reasons.

People already forgot about the earlier shooting where an Israeli shot two other Israelis that he thought were Palestinian because that could not be politicized like this case.

The odds that this shooter knew he was shooting diplomats is exactly zero. He was just another maga trash gun nutter doing what maga trash gun nutters do - killing people for sport.
