What will retribution look like in 2029?

No, they won't. If the Biden administration had jumped right on prosecuting Trump, we would not be in this situation. Smith took FOREVER to indict Trump, and the cases dragged on and on and on. The same thing will happen when Democrats retake power. They'll be too busy cleaning up the mess left behind by the Trump corruption that they won't have time to prosecute the criminals.

Yes, we are wimps. “They go low, we go high”

Not working

I didn't see Michelle Obama sticking her neck out and running for President.

What do you think would be an appropriate approach to "de-MAGAing" the US in 2029, and serving justice to those who are currently running amok in the Trump administration?

I don't think we need to wait until 2028. Democrats and Republicans can agree that we need to get rid of this crackpot grifter and after the midterms, impeach and remove him and Vance from office.

Before prosecuting all the Trump crimes, the Democrats and Republicans need to change the laws so the next POTUS does not have the power to do all the things that Trump has been doing. The agencies must be independent of the executive branch. Guardrails must be set up. It should have happened during the Biden administration, but no one was minding the store, while the Federalist Society was lying in wait and plotting its takeover, right out in the open. That's on the Democrats. That cannot happen again. The next POTUS must relinquish power, and Congress must take back its power.

What you seem to be proposing here is that something like 20 Senate Republicans cast a vote that will result in a President Hakeem Jeffries. Not going to happen.

But I agree with you that Congress must take back its power. We'll really see this come to a head when the House flips in 2026 and begins to actually perform oversight. People like Elon Musk will receive subpoenas but ignore them...and the Trump DOJ will refuse to hold them accountable.

No one thinks Trump is going to be prosecuted again but DOGE ruined hundreds of thousands of families with their incompetence. People are absolutely going to demand something be done about that.

Her recent interviews suggesting turmoil and transition rule her out. She had a chance back in 2020.

They are already concentrated in highly blue areas. Republicans don’t need those votes.

How many subpoenas did those people disregard? Unlike Gym Jordan, Scott Perry, etc...

Communists hate all their years and years of behind the scenes scheming and manipulating the system getting smashed and shoved back by regular people with regular jobs whose government was turned into a freak show while they slept.

Trump will just preemptively pardon everyone like how Biden did.

Nothing is going to happen.

It's funny how all the democrat schemes blow up in their faces. First they take away the judicial filibuster then get supreme court justices rammed down their throats using their own tactics. Now with bidens pardons they can do anything. They should also be bipartisan and agree to the leftist desire to pack the court.

And I say this as someone who bundled money for his presidency. There are a couple of gems left in the party but as a whole Dems are useless cowards.

I totally agree.
The Democrats lost this election because they rolled over for the wealthy donors who fund them.
Only Bernie and AOC are not wimps. They need to form their own party. The Democratic party is dead.

Agree for the most part but no opposition party to a sitting POTUS with a 40% approval rating is "dead". If the GOP had a Reagan, Obama or Clinton caliber of leader, Dems would be in big trouble but they don't. The GOP has a sitting POTUS who is as unpopular as Biden was. These unpopular and unfit presidents the idiot American voters have been electing are very generous to the opposition party. Trump is actively fumbling away any and all momentum and advantage Biden gave the GOP.

We've seen this before and we know how the story ends.
