What will retribution look like in 2029?

They are NOT wimps. They will go scorched earth on MAGA.

Yes, we are wimps. “They go low, we go high”

Not working

Who is "we". The Dems have a clean slate with no party leaders after getting rid of Biden. We have no idea how strong the next Dem leader will be but they'll inevitably be stronger than Biden.

The GOP is stuck with their unpopular elderly "leader" through at least 2029 and this gives a big time political advantage to the Dems in elections until at least 2029. Take advantage of the advantage this time!!

“we”meaning I’m a democrat

We got rid of Biden. Other than that weakness, this is the same party that elected two very successful two-term presidents who served 16 out of 24 years prior to when everything went nuts in 2016. Take a deep breath. It's okay. Our next legitimate leader will emerge by 2028.

Republicans ran on that, not the Democrats. And per your post, the plan is to do it again. But this time, the Republicans will be playing defense on a poor economy and high prices and will quickly lose the narrative. Aside, voters are just going to be tired of the Trump nonsense and chaos. Elections swing back and forth for a reason.

We've already seen what will happen. They will shut down ICE and CPB, reassigning them to processing people at the border to be let in.

Yes, Republicans were able to craft effective messaging campaigns in 2023 and 2024 because there was a very weak and vulnerable Dem sitting POTUS who wasn't capable of communicating with the American people in an effective manner. This circumstance will be flip flopped during the next election cycle with the swing voters seeking "change" from the sub 40% approved sitting POTUS. We've been here, done this!

We don’t need retribution. We just need rule of law to be enforced. Retribution is a never ending cycle that will destroy democracy.

The right is really good at creating bogeymen and 'whatabouting' to project their misdeeds on to others, but at the end of the day, we have to believe that facts and law will win out, even if it is slow.

Ultimately though, I am in the camp that Trump is in office til he dies and there won't be meaningful elections in 2026 or 2028.

I’m not so sure that elections are over. Apart from the blowhards posting here, most Americans are not pleased with Trump’s actions to date. As inflation skyrockets and stuff becomes too expensive or scarce, Americans are going to be angry about the economy. Hard to stay in power on a bad economy.

Trump declares martial law over some manufactured emergency and game over.

LOLOL. You don’t honestly believe that, do you??

Wholeheartedly! And I predict the republicans will take their party back and make maga a third party.

The actual conservatives will need to form their own, new party. The Republican party is full MAGA.

And I say this as someone who bundled money for his presidency. There are a couple of gems left in the party but as a whole Dems are useless cowards.

Cowards? No. Out of touch? Yes. They needed to listen to Van Jones.

Van Jones?!

Oh boy. I’m wasting my time even chatting with you about the party’s future strategy. With supporters like you who needs enemies?

I’m interested in where Executive Orders go. It seems that we don’t need to pass laws anymore, just sign an EO.

Dems should go after the law firms that capitulated, and the conservative firms. If that’s a one way street then it’s a big problem. The courts need to rule the threats as not legal so it doesn’t happen again.

How would Trump be kicked to the curb?

You told everyone there would never be another election if Trump won?

Well?

Unlike the MAGAs, we aren’t a cult. Some of us are allowed to have different opinions from others.

However, while a lot of Donnie’s handlers would love no more elections, they would settle for rigging sham elections like their hero fascists around the world.

We aren’t going to let them.

It will look like a report and some hearings. Enjoy

Sounds like a threat? Will you be coming after us with dildos and bongs?
