You told everyone there would never be another election if Trump won?

Well?

Unlike the MAGAs, we aren’t a cult. Some of us are allowed to have different opinions from others.

However, while a lot of Donnie’s handlers would love no more elections, they would settle for rigging sham elections like their hero fascists around the world.

We aren’t going to let them.

Sounds like a threat? Will you be coming after us with dildos and bongs?

? who is "us" and "you" in this circumstance?

No one is going to want to come to our racist, sh@thole country by the time Trump is done with it.

But I would have a hard time seeing fascists like Stephen Miller skate free after trying to undermine the rule of law. What do you think would be an appropriate approach to "de-MAGAing" the US in 2029, and serving justice to those who are currently running amok in the Trump administration?

A raft of legislation severely restricting the power of the Executive and Judicial Branch. End qualified immunity. End civil forfeiture. Enact moderate gun control measures. Take power back on tariffs and military power.

Restore the IRS so that taxes can be collected effectively and rich people can't cheat. Restore the NOAA, EPA, research grants.

Expansion of the House of Representatives. Expansion of the Supreme Court along with legislation preventing GOP from changing it again.

I honestly don't want to see more time-wasting retribution. I want to see a more representative union and a legislature that's not a den of corruption and a rubber stamp for the Executive. Nothing would make me happier than the next Administration to say they are trying their best to represent all Americans and they aren't going to waste precious time and energy on the previous one.

Everyone who was a part of this administration should be blacklisted at best and prosecuted at worst.

All of this.

Our government as we knew it will need to be completely rebuilt, including the entire security and technology infrastructure. No way to trust any of the damage and wormholes being opened by DOGE and all of the MAGAs being installed at all levels of government who are there to destroy it. Hire back as many civil servants and institutionalists as possible.

And yes, ALL of the ethics laws...hell, rewrite or update the constitution to include ethics for the politicians in terms of transparency, forbidding stock trading etc, get rid of Citizens United, reform the courts to add more justices for each of the Circuit Courts - it will be a huge task but hopefully there is a Watergate type wave that makes it possible.

Not happening. People have had enough of the Biden era lawfare.

It's called prosecuting criminals, rule of law. GOP accuses the other side of what they are actually doing. It's so transparent.

But MAGA wouldn't know. They think Trump's weaponization of the Justice Dept, endless corruption and constitutional crises are the norm, because they too are morally bankrupt.

agree

What we need and what is likely to happen are two different things.

Cowards? No. Out of touch? Yes. They needed to listen to Van Jones.

Van Jones?!

Oh boy. I’m wasting my time even chatting with you about the party’s future strategy. With supporters like you who needs enemies?

He was right on what voters were thinking and feeling. He was spot on.

It won't be retribution. It will be rebuilding, if free and fair elections are still available and the democratic party wins. It will take a long time to rebuild what has been destroyed.

Generally agree with you except for expansion of the Supreme Court. Heartily agree on expanding the House.

So basically do what MAGA has done (using them as precendent) but with a Democrat bent. Hello, political arms race. Ready, set, go!

I don't think we need to wait until 2028. Democrats and Republicans can agree that we need to get rid of this crackpot grifter and after the midterms, impeach and remove him and Vance from office.

Before prosecuting all the Trump crimes, the Democrats and Republicans need to change the laws so the next POTUS does not have the power to do all the things that Trump has been doing. The agencies must be independent of the executive branch. Guardrails must be set up. It should have happened during the Biden administration, but no one was minding the store, while the Federalist Society was lying in wait and plotting its takeover, right out in the open. That's on the Democrats. That cannot happen again. The next POTUS must relinquish power, and Congress must take back its power.

I totally agree.
The Democrats lost this election because they rolled over for the wealthy donors who fund them.
Only Bernie and AOC are not wimps. They need to form their own party. The Democratic party is dead.
