Is it okay for DS to wear a beanie to Easter Mass?

I'm Catholic and it wouldn't bother me one bit to see a teen/young adult with a beanie. I just like seeing young people at Mass.

Why does everyone have to be so judgmental now? Just worry about YOURSELF.

Maybe he can clip his nails or play on his ipad or wear a tank top and shorts or...
The list is endless. It's not about being judgmental, it's about his having any shred of dignity and decorum in public. He is in public doing this thing WITH other people, not by himself. Therefore, why not maintain a minimal standard of deportment?

Yes. Don't worry about it. The most important thing is that you are there.

Also, sooo many people attend on Easter who never go otherwise. There will be all kinds of clothing.

Anecdote isn't data, look at actual studies: https://www.osvnews.com/pew-us-christianity-downturn-leveling-but-catholics-suffer-greatest-net-losses/

yes, conventionally men removed their hats in church/inside. but I think if he wore a hat - beanie or baseball hat - people will be understanding and will likely assume it's for a medical reason. Easter is crowded and there is a bunch of activity so I don't think people will really notice. just say you are happy to have him go with you.

I would not blink an eye at a young man in a baseball cap at Mass on Easter.

I actually think a modern beanie (not the old kind that is just like a winter hat) would be less noticeable than a baseball hat. I would get a color that blends with his hair color.

Let him wear what he wants and just be happy that he's going with you.

Apparently what used to be "watch caps" are now beanies and what used to be beanies (think Brownie Scouts" are skullcaps.
So which is it?

BTW hot heads are bad for hair loss.

God doesn’t judge. I think it’s disrespectful.

A few older gentleman wear driver caps to mass.

Driver caps are much less goofy than beanies watch caps or skullcaps to cover baldung pates. But really, shave it all long term if he isn't seeking medical help. The Rock vs combover.
