Is it okay for DS to wear a beanie to Easter Mass?

This. He needs some rogaine OP.

It's Good Friday. I don't think rogaine is the solution to what to wear on Easter. It might be a solution to the question of what to wear on Easter 2026.

This is the right answer

Run from any church that answers differently

Also college is pretty young for this. There might be medical treatments which will help his self-esteem

Yes, we have urged him to discuss options with our family doctor, who is a charismatic middle aged man. But he chickens out at office visits and makes up an excuse why he didn’t ask. What more can we do? He’s a 20 year old young adult.

Right now just trying to make him feel more comfortable about this weekend.

As long as it does not have a propeller on top.

How does the charisma of the doctor factor in?

Any God that cares about what you do or do not wear while in prayer, is not a God I'd want to follow. It seems so incredibly petty to care about such a thing.

At least have him do his bloodworm.
You don't want to miss a serious problem just because he thought it was just normal hair loss. But I hear you.

Hope you and your family have a happy Easter

Next doc visit he has scheduled call ahead and ask to put a note in your son’s file to the doc to ask him if he’s interested in hearing about hair loss treatments. A good doc will handle this well.

Seems that would be a most comfortable person for a young man to discuss this with? Versus a female PA or MD which could make it more embarrassing or a male doctor with cold or rude bedside manner or an older bald doctor who believes it doesn’t matter and the pills and creams aren’t worth the side effects.

In the Catholic tradition men don't wear hats to mass. But I think even the Pope would rather have someone attend with a baseball hat than not go to mass.

He's 20 years old. I would not say a thing about the beanie. Let him manage this. Don't buy him a beanie, don't say anything. Just let it be.

If he's balding that badly, he needs to buzz it.

People only stare when guys are balding and trying to do terrible combovers or just have whisps everywhere.

No one cares if you're a 20 year old bald guy if you're rocking a buzz cut or shaved head. Trust me.

This but maybe help him with transplants or help him shave it. Shaved heads can be hot. He needs some confidence. it’s not like this problem will get better

Your DS is going to stick out more with a beanie on his head. If he is that self conscious, tell him to stay home.
