HHS RIF

Even if FDA doesn't layoff reviewers, it doesn't mean everything will be fine. The project managers are absolutely VITAL at making sure all of the blood flows in FDA and making sure meetings happen and deadlines are met. If DOGE has no idea what they're doing and simple sees Reg PMs as unnecessary admin bloat, regulatory review over medical products will crash and horrifically burn. Review staff simply do not have time to deal with scheduling meetings, sending out letters and correspondence to companies, and keeping track of all dates for all commitments. It will be an unmitigated disaster for the entire country and American innvation.

People please Make sure to collect evidence of illegal RIFs and firings to provide evidence for the current lawsuits. I’m sure the state or Maryland AG would be very interested in hearing from you about this information.

The VA RIF is not supposed to start until June, from the timeline they sent out.

No. Reviewers and their work are not taxpayer funded. They are funded by industry user fees. My guess is this function may remain intact.

Nothing at FDA yet.

So cruel that it was announced over 24 hours ago and people are being forced to wait around. They will probably make them wait through the weekend.

Awful, the most vulnerable, often rural, republican voters use these services... good luck.
