Reddit has better info. Would suggest checking there on the HHS Reddit or fednews

My guess is they'll do the firings over the weekend and send the notices to work e-mails even though everyone on admin leave is locked out of their computers. It's all about the "Aha! Gotcha!" with these people.

According to The Hill right now HHS is still blocked.

No only parts are under a separate lawsuit but HHS as whole is not

Emails went out to RIFd HHS staff this afternoon (sent to work email):

On July 8, 2025, the U.S. Supreme Court granted the Government’s Application to Stay the preliminary injunction, issued on May 22, 2025, by Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California (Case No. 25-cv-03698-SI), which, at that time, prohibited HHS from further action on any existing RIF notices, including final separation of employees. Given the Supreme Court’s ruling, HHS is now permitted to move forward with a portion of its RIF.

Accordingly, you are hereby notified that you are officially separated from HHS at the close of business on July 14, 2025.

Thank you for your service to the American people.

Ditto. And HHS’s handling of this RIF was just especially cruel to begin with and so mismanaged. I hope a few years from now we will rebuild from this. We all feel gutted.

Illegal, everyone will get offered their jobs back eventually but most will have moved on by then.

Reddit is reporting that official separation emails have started going out for the April 1 RIFs, with an immediate effective date.

It is clear laws do not matter any more but these letters should not be sent without severance information and the proper retention registers having been shared months ago.

Does anyone know what the date is for FDA staff who had a June 2nd date but are MRA plus 10? I picked 5/31 before but things need to be recalculated. All I can get from HR and I know they are busy is it will take 1-2 weeks. I’ve also gotten no email notification this was me reaching out to HR. Would love to get paid for as many days as I can.

So with the Riffs come severance pay, correct? Are you allowed to apply and collect unemployment benefits if severance check received?
