Some RIFed folks at NIH received official rescission notices yesterday afternoon that had been anticipated for over a month (acquisitions, HR). Most others still in limbo on admin leave pending SCOTUS.

The pending SCOTUS thing is stressing me out. Let’s just get it over with at this point. With the way things are going in SCOTUS, it’s not looking promising this will go in our favor.

A judge in Rhode Island apparently ruled the Rifs are illegal today but I thought the SC just overruled this kind of action.

I guess that means it's illegal to fire feds who live and/or work in Rhode Island. Maybe some other judges are willing to help out?

Dc and 9th circuit rulings hold more weight.

My understanding is the ruling was based on the APA. SCOTUS' decision left APA universal injunctions undisturbed.

Isn’t it applicable to only a few specific CDC and FDA offices?
