What’s your regular size and what’s your Lululemon leggings size?

As mentioned, I’m a M in Target leggings though I weigh approximately 179 and I’m 5’3. Pear shape - All thighs, zero butt, small waist/ribcage (s-xxs tops).

Op here. I decided to go on my lunch break. I now understand especially the stretch on the align one. I could easily get into a 4 align, a 6 in the fast and free and wunder train would probably be the lowest I’d go. It’s all in the material. I’m still amazed that they stretch so well to fit multiple sizes but when I put the six on and pulled out the waist, I can see how it could fit a large build very easily. I don’t like the waist falling down so I would go with the smallest size to have it snug. I’m surprised more women are not sizing down after my visit today, I’m sure they could fit smaller sizes at some of the weights listed here.

I went with a smaller size once and it was fine in the store but I regretted it when I worked out... just wasn't comfortable. I do not have this issue at all at Athleta so I quit buying LLL.

If you’re trying to shop for “workout leggings” at a store that specializes in leggings, then it would be helpful to specify what type of workouts you’re doing and how you like your leggings to fit (naked, compressive, etc.). OP asked about Aligns, which are a signature Lululemon style and are extremely stretchy. The discussion here is about how people are apparently able to size way down in them. They are designed for lounging or very light activity (like yoga) so are probably not the best choice for workout leggings.

Other styles are designed for more strenuous workouts. It sounds like you could benefit from reviewing the website (which explains which are designed for what activities) and reading the reviews if you want to know how they fit.

Agree about the aligns being stretchy and not great for hard core workouts they also show every unflattering lump and if not black shoe sweat stains. The lady in front of me at core power yoga in her pink aligns had very embarrassing crotch sweat stains

This is me too. I have 26” waist and am always a 2 in pants and dresses, but have to size up to 4 in LL.

I don’t size up tops, those are still a 2, but I’m smaller up top.
