The one I really don’t like is Jamal. She grates on me and never inspires any desire to get behind her ideas.

I know, I love the way she went down to fake cry at the border when Trump was president - in her spotless white ensemble and red lipstick. The authenticity of that stunt really pierced my heart.

Politicians are performative. That's not much different than most other politicians TBH.

You have to not be a heartless prick to actually have it pierced.

Surely you can understand the difference between the ranking member from a minority party that has little if any power and faces re-election every two years...and a justice with a lifetime appointment?

To paraphrase from Batman, Connolly is the hero we deserve right now.

From her hospital bed in Germany? With a broken hip? She’s unstoppable.

Giving AOC that assignment after the Dems have lost the presidency, the house and the senate would add fuel to the MAGA war on progressives. The Dems need to find some moderates in their 40's and 50's to step up and get the parry back on the right course. AOC is very smart but needs to accept that a far left path is not the right one.

Leadership comes from the top. The party can reform itself back to a functional state if an Obama or Clinton is allowed to surface on an open and fair primary. Same goes for the GOP. Reform to functional states isn't possible with people like Trump and Biden at the top.

The Democrats need to be more like the Republicans and just let people step up, be allowed to fail and then critically to move on when someone has failed. The Democrats refuse to give anyone a chance, but once they do they can never do wrong and are never held accountable for failure.

For example, Hakeem Jeffries is a terrible Democratic leader and yet not a singe Democrat would ever criticize him. Same for Schumer. The Democratic Party’s proclivity to award people positions for life is a really poor understanding of leadership and reveals the party’s inclination towards dictatorial tendencies.

Oh no! Tell us how should the democrats appease maga? Moderate are not the answer they are the problem. The dems lost because Biden gave unconditional support to Israel and spent every waking hour trying to appease Netanyahu only to be stabbed in the back and humiliated on the world stage. Biden ignored domestic issues and pandered to moderates who quickly backed Trump.

My big issue with Democrats is that they are TERRIBLE at bringing up the next generation of leaders. It's all old people at the top, hoarding power. The "NextGen Democrats" PAC is promoting....Gen X's in their late 50s.

The Republican party is awesome about getting young people into prominent leadership positions. Look at Paul Ryan. Look at all the extremely young judges Trump put on the federal judiciary. Look at some of the GOP's appointees to the Executive branch agencies. Even Trump's advisors like Stephen Miller are quite young.

Democratic party leaders are content to just put their foot on the necks of younger generation leaders. It's got to stop.

No. Connelly is dying of cancer and can no longer serve. And you’re an a—hole.

Then he should’ve never run for reelection let alone push to be committee chair! Yes, it’s sad that he is dying. And it’s unfortunate that Pelosi put him in a position where he had to put his health on the back burner to feed her ego and not let AOC become oversight leader.

I’ve already called my rep to demand they nominate and support AOC for oversight chair. Please do the same. In fact, if you’re in Connolly‘s district, ask him to recommend she replace him. We need a fighter in this role.
