Apparently posts about lightings at hoos and uniforms are ok to keep, but really how superficial is that to keep those posts and delete others.

What club has a style and philosophy would be a better question. Because I'll tell you right now, there isn't a club in this area that has a style of play, finds players that fit it, and hammers it in day in and day out. Combination of dilution, competition between clubs, they're just kids, so on and so forth. This is a business, running a club in the way you're describing, they would lose money because parents care about results or trophies af u-little.

Achilles hammers in possession-based soccer in training and games. Why do you think they loose so much? But a lot of families don’t have the patience for that and want wins too so they remain a small club.

Really??? My kid was out there years ago from Barca and his (and my take) was Sal seemed to favor kick ball style. It was nothing like Barca.

There are four years of negative comments about Achilles on this board, valid and otherwise. But I don't think anyone has ever accused them of playing "kick ball style."

This is common, and then they lose their players to bigger clubs and it happens all over the country. The nature of creating barriers of entry into leagues to protect profits.

We’re new to the program and grateful to be a here. Sure it’s a boutique club, but player development is strong. My son couldn’t care less about records and winning. Right now it’s 100% emphasis on player development.

MLSNext feels the same way given they are not even tracking standings for U13 and U14 effective this year.

Agree.
Not a Sal fan, but I can't say Achilles plays kick and run long ball

I suspect we’re dealing with the Achilles Stalker. 3-4 years of obsession. I think Sal may be the run away bride, living rent free in someone’s head.

One tries to ignore, but the troll is everywhere and comes at every angle imaginable.

Let's not hijack the thread to another topic. There probably isn't anything new to talk about SYC but at least stay on topic.

Achilles has better ball passion than SYC.

We are in our 2nd year at SYC, (we came from another club) our coach has not communicated very well. No mention of player counseling, the coach really wanted us to buy the VEO system, but we haven't reviewed 1 game. No idea what it takes to move from 1 team to the next. Coaching styles are very different, there does not appear to be much in the way of coordination from club leadership... the players are very strong here, but we feel like the centralized coaching staff does not do a good job of communicating much. Coaching is not bad, but the coaching does get stagnant/ repetitive and poor to little effective communication from the direct coach, director of coaches and tech director and SYC management never communicates at all.

Those prioritizing communication from coaches or management as a prerequisite for joining a club should look elsewhere. You will be miserable if this is very important to you. If you can live being in the dark about pretty much everything and your child is damn good or elite then it is a great fit.

Concerns are never heard by 'upper' management. Any concerns report will go into the black hole.

I would suggest working with your team manager. The team manager is also a good resource for info. The team manager is the liaison between the parents and coach as well. If it's specific to your child, then work with the coach.

The team manager for our team dresses and acts like a clown.

That's not good. Someone else should step up next year.

Team mangers fake its a lot of work but in reality it isn't. They like to keep the role and the title so they can leverage playing time for their child.

You should definitely step up next year, then.
