Every time there is a ID camp - someone feels slighted. Your kid will be fine. They will get a scholarship to play in college. These kids at this early age will come and go from ID camps. It does not translate into National Team experience in later years for most of them.

when parents start talking interclub… some lucky coach hits the lottery with a walkon team of strong players. The loyalty is only to your dc. Not the club lol. No different from work. Short term decisions have long term consequences

I feel like this is more with the girls. Are boys parents doing something like this?

the boys want to go to mlsnext. So yes in some ways. Just not enough slots and way more competitive and calculated. I agree tho for the girls. Its way more intimate and coaches know the good players by this time

Did they? They had one with actual minutes on the field with YNT in meaningful games as far as I know. The other two are from FCV (BP associated) and Union, aside from that there is a new to VDA player who has seen minutes on the YNT that is tied to BP via FCV.

This is how it works. How do you think BP got those players to follow him to VDA? It wasn't for his soccer development and coaching techniques. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement even if it isn't explicitly talked about.

Heard this through typical parent chatter as well. Doesn't mean it's true but generally you can find some truths in parent sideline chatter. Allegedly Pepperoni told those players he would not recommend them to YNT ID Center any longer if they did not follow to VDA.
