Did you mean dads? |
If you just follow the Instagram accounts for the local ECNL clubs you will see them all post their players that were invited. A big part of this after all is club marketing. |
Celebrate if it's your DD because you are now on easy street to a college scholarship. |
Have girls from your club received scholarship money? We've heard girls don't get much in the way of money. |
I googled it and can’t find a list anywhere, can anybody help? |

Straight from the US Soccer website:
PLAYER SELECTION Players are discovered through two main pathways. Talent Identification Managers lead all selections. Process of scouting by U.S. Soccer at games and/or events. Coach or Club Director Recommendation. Go ahead and see for yourselves: https://www.ussoccer.com/talent-identification/talent-identification-centers |
and who are you to stay if a player should or should not have been selected, if a player is stronger than another play or not?
|
| Is this round only for the girls? I don't see any local announcements for boys? I've seen boys named outside the DMV area. |
Exactly. And for these 7th to 9th graders, it's almost all coach or club director recommendations. Areas coaches know and are regularly talking with the talent id managers, telling them who to watch, etc. It's a very small knit group. |
|
This is why you golf with the coach and "donate" to their private trainings group. It's a system that encourages kickbacks and who you know type situations. USYNT should be the highest ranked team and coach from each age group. |
| Here’s a question - how are additional invitations made beyond this initial one? Is it still coach recommendation? I’m talking about the spring regional invitation and then the national camp. I would think that once the player is in the “pool” through the initial invitation, then it’s up to the scouts to determine who moves on. Or is it still more coach recommendation for the spring regional invitation? |
| The difference between the girls and boys. The girls are letting their club posts (I assume? That is what I have seen). The guys are all posting the full list, including first and last names on their instagram stories tonight. My kid is pissed I wont let him. Not his job to publicized other teens news, especially with full names and clubs |
Those boys who are posting the whole list with first and last name along with club is very tacky.

| If you are personal favorite, you get invited. |
