exactly, this is the debator's job, harris should be doing the corrections not the moderators, very odd. This didn't happen in the biden trump debates.

I wasn't impressed with the moderators at all. They allowed Trump to overtalk, get in the last word, lie over and over again. He was constantly allowed second and third bites, but Harris was rarely offered rebuttal time. The moderators failed to turn off Trump's mic.

I found it odd the moderators were fact-checking; that is the job of each debater. The moderators should be there to move the debate along. Very strange.

Even my pro-choice DH has an issue with this because he doesnt understand the realities of childbirth and thinks every parent would make the choice to do every single life saving measure and cannot wrap his head around the fact that a fetus can make it to term and not be able to survive still.

This is why its a healthcare decision and made with the information and support of clinicians. It is not a independent family position. No hospital would provide palliative care for a healthy child- they wouldnt need to. Do you know how many things you have to explicitly decline in a hospital for a newborn and how much judgement there is and how many CPS workers get called when a hospital staff member thinks a family is endangering their child? Its literally a fight sometimes to get them to not give your baby a bath or to keep them in the room while they perform their checks/sticks.

Palliative means reducing suffering. Republicans love making people suffer. That's why they support forced birth but not any kind of aid or comfort for the born.

Seriously, pp who said women are killing newborns can kindly F off, when the truth is many parents come home from the hospital without a child because of a medical issue.

If they really cared about babies, they would be fighting to reinstitute Roe. Texas infant mortality increased by 13% after Dobbs, as did maternal mortality. Don't those babies dying of birth and medical defects deserve hospice? The gaslighting (twisting to say it was "murder" and "execution") and and need to control women is perverse.
