Unlike most of the pearl clutching biddies who post here, she's not afraid of living in an urban neighborhood.

please. the sad thing is that when she bought the condo that area was likely much safer and thought to be on a permanent upswing.

You don't know that at all

I’m just guessing she bought it when crime was at historic lows in DC and U St was getting exciting new developments.

Didn't she grow up in the Bronx? I doubt she's afraid of U Street especially since she apparently has federal Marshalls protecting her

It’s not about being “afraid” - it’s about living in a more pleasant area. That’s not really a pleasant area unless you go out a lot and it’s also not got the urban density of the Bronx. And it’s likely crappy new-build. The area seemed really up and coming ca. 2011 but not anymore.

Do you recall carjackers tried to steal a secret service car near Naomi Biden's residence? They're quite dumb, these carjackers.

I am surprised that the US Marshalls both shot at the 18 yo. I wonder how many bullets he had inside him.

They are not used to anyone opposing them with guns.

Yeah, I'm a little confused regarding her housing choices.

Let’s hope that this response deters other DC thugs.

Don't worry. The US attorney general can always charge the bodyguards. Did they follow proper procedure? Did they use the minimum force required? Will Flowers have permanent injuries that will prevent him from becoming being successful in society?

It seems likely that the Biden-appointed USAO will be replaced once Trump is inaugurated. And until prosecutors and judges do their jobs, I think concealed carry is the way to go in DC. The more carjackers that get killed by their intended victims, the better for society.

According to D.C. police, carjackings in the District are down 46 percent, with 258 carjackings in the first six months of 2023 compared with 482 carjackings over the same period last year.

18? DC considers a "youth" until mid 20s. Maybe this will go to federal court.

He attempted a carjacking on federal marshals. This is going to federal court.

He’s already been charged in federal court. “He was charged in U.S. District Court with armed carjacking, carrying a pistol without a license and possession of a large-capacity ammunition-feeding device.”

Isn't there a curfew in place for teens?

-Waiting for Federal charges to be dropped because Democrats going to Democrat and he's 18/black and under age of 26.
-Waiting for this story to be refreshed in the future when this same criminal commits another crime so Democrats can defend him a second time.

+1. American democrats really do love criminals. Unless they are white collar criminals, then they strongly dislike them. Very amusing to see as a foreigner.

She cleatly IS afraid, or she wouldn't have 2 armed men protecting her and her residence.

What does she have to fear? She’s got armed guards protecting her 24/7/365.

Sh!t, I could go ANYWHERE without fear if I had a squad of gun carrying US Marshals around me.
