Where’s MY team of bodyguards? Why isn’t the city or the fed gov providing ME with security? My life matters as much as anyone else’s. Why isn’t the government protecting ME?

They keep telling people we don’t need guns - so that must mean they’ll furnish everyone with bodyguards. So where’s MY bodyguards?

+1. LOL!

Don't worry. The US attorney general can always charge the bodyguards. Did they follow proper procedure? Did they use the minimum force required? Will Flowers have permanent injuries that will prevent him from becoming being successful in society?

It seems likely that the Biden-appointed USAO will be replaced once Trump is inaugurated. And until prosecutors and judges do their jobs, I think concealed carry is the way to go in DC. The more carjackers that get killed by their intended victims, the better for society.

I really hope there’s something in Project 2025 about public floggings and pillory of violent criminals.

Trump can’t get back in soon enough.

Sounds like you'd prefer to live in Iran or maybe Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan if you prefer judicial corporal punishment? You're welcome to move if that's the kind of place you want to live.

There’s a reason there’s no such thing as “car jacking” in Saudi Arabia.

I’m not suggesting we adopt *all* aspects of Saudi culture, but it might be a good idea to examine their system of criminal punishment, because they’re doing something right.

Metropolitan Police Department confirmed it was investigating a shooting that took place in the Northwest Washington, DC. where two marshals were on-duty working 'a protective detail' in the early hours of July 5. A Deputy US Marshal was sitting in his car outside the top judge's condominium at 1:15am when 18-year-old Kentrell Flowers approached, pointed a handgun at him, and tried to steal his vehicle, according to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com."

I think Justices who don’t believe in my right to have a gun should have armed bodyguards.

Sauce for the goose.

Unlike most of the pearl clutching biddies who post here, she's not afraid of living in an urban neighborhood.

please. the sad thing is that when she bought the condo that area was likely much safer and thought to be on a permanent upswing.

seriously?

That was a racist right-wing gun nut attempting to be sarcastic and confusing it with being insightful. You know conservatives think — they’re all brain damaged.

How can you possibly know that? I’ve read the same thing here all the time from people defending criminals - “they’re just children” or “their brains aren’t fully developed until 26” or “he’s just a teenager”…

I read stuff like that from self-described progressives here hundreds of times. I’ve *heard* Charles Allen say that in-person while speaking with me and my ANC.

Now I really don’t know if the PP you accuse of being a troll is really a troll of not, and I don’t see how you could possibly know either. But what’s important here, is that if a progressive and a troll are both saying the exact same platitudes - then there’s something seriously freakin wrong with progressives. Because it has now become impossible to differentiate their BS from sarcasm.

That’s a real problem.

What does she have to fear? She’s got armed guards protecting her 24/7/365.

Sh!t, I could go ANYWHERE without fear if I had a squad of gun carrying US Marshals around me.

What in the heck are you speaking of. What else would a Supreme Court justices security have? Super soakers?

Nah. She’ll stick it out another year. It worked really well for RBG, so there’s no rush.

She’s 70 not 90.

I’m just guessing she bought it when crime was at historic lows in DC and U St was getting exciting new developments.

Didn't she grow up in the Bronx? I doubt she's afraid of U Street especially since she apparently has federal Marshalls protecting her
