Don't worry. The US attorney general can always charge the bodyguards. Did they follow proper procedure? Did they use the minimum force required? Will Flowers have permanent injuries that will prevent him from becoming being successful in society?

It seems likely that the Biden-appointed USAO will be replaced once Trump is inaugurated. And until prosecutors and judges do their jobs, I think concealed carry is the way to go in DC. The more carjackers that get killed by their intended victims, the better for society.

These weren't private bodyguards. Sotomayor has an official security protective detail, and there were two deputy U.S. marshals assigned to her at the time. Both fired on the wanna-be carjacker. These carjacking thugs are no joke, they have been murdering people left and right.

At least the second carjacker to be shot.

Sooner or later? Members of Congress. Diplomats, first family members, senior staff, and regular citizens have been at risk for two year. Where you been?

Unlike most of the pearl clutching biddies who post here, she's not afraid of living in an urban neighborhood.

We should all have details of bodyguards to protect us from criminals.

Where’s MY team of bodyguards? Why isn’t the city or the fed gov providing ME with security? My life matters as much as anyone else’s. Why isn’t the government protecting ME?

They keep telling people we don’t need guns - so that must mean they’ll furnish everyone with bodyguards. So where’s MY bodyguards?

I really hope there’s something in Project 2025 about public floggings and pillory of violent criminals.

Trump can’t get back in soon enough.

Oh so she gets an armed guard but I should not have guns to protect my family. Got it.

And this is what passed for wit on the right wing. It's amazing these people can tie their shoes, much less with elections.

Do not feed the troll. This site is full of them now.

Troll?

How can you even tell?

18? DC considers a "youth" until mid 20s. Maybe this will go to federal court.

Sounds like you'd prefer to live in Iran or maybe Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan if you prefer judicial corporal punishment? You're welcome to move if that's the kind of place you want to live.

Easy to say when she has armed agents protecting her.
