Biden tells governors he got a medical checkup

Anonymous
My question for the only Biden people is what about next time?

Assuming Biden wins he cannot be president again that's it.

Make no mistake about it if he's alive in 2028 Trump will be the GOP candidate and if not him someone who is just as popular with the same agenda

So what's the answer here?

From 2016 we have had this problem and have not come up with any solutions.

Wasn’t he at Camp David the day after the debate? How did he go to the doctor?

President Joe Biden on Wednesday evening told more than 20 Democratic governors in a private meeting that he underwent a medical checkup after last week’s debate and is fine, according to three people with knowledge of the discussion.

During an hour-long meeting prompted by intensifying concerns about his health and political viability, one governor asked Biden about his physical condition. The president mentioned having had a checkup in recent days and asserted that he remains in good health, knocking on wood for effect, according to two of those people, who were granted anonymity to describe a private meeting.

That statement came just hours after press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre sidestepped direct questions from reporters who asked if he’d been examined since the debate.
“The president has regular annual physicals that we release in a thorough report,” she said. “We’re going to continue to do that.”

Biden’s remark, according to a person familiar with the president’s schedule, was in reference to a short checkup by a White House physician in the days following the debate due to lingering symptoms from his cold. The exam, that person added, was brief and did not include any major tests.

Does this address the concerns about Biden’s health satisfactorily?

No. Biden needs to face reality. He’s just too old. He’s in very good health for his age. But he needs to let it go.

Trump is only 3 years younger and in worse health than Biden given he's morbidly obese, is addicted to junk food, and has far more of a family history of alzheimers and cardiac issues than Biden's family..

PP. Trump is also too old and also has incipient dementia, probably Alzheimer’s. Trump is not in good health for his age. He should also head off to his golf course.

You forgot that a few people watched the debate live. Oops.

What’s your point? Please articulate whatever it is you want to communicate.

That you cannot scream "but Trump!" now and get a pass. We saw on live television that Biden is in full cognitive decline.

DP

True but we also saw that Trump is fully delusional and a pathological liar. The main difference is democrats have standards whereas we expect the GOP to do anything to win and could care less that their candidate is a known rapist and convicted felon.

If the democrats do not replace Biden, they have the same standards as the GOP.

Your facade has been blown up, you can't hide behind "we are saving democracy!" anymore while actively supporting a man that has zero business running the country.

It's been shocking. I've worked there through four Presidents and I've never seen anything like this.

I want to vote for Biden if he's the candidate, but I'm going to have a hard time doing it. I would vote for anyone else the democrats put up with much more enthusiasm. If Biden is the candidate, I might have to either not vote or write in. He's not fit for another four years. And yes, I agree that Trump is a lunatic and know that not voting for Biden is a vote for Trump, but I am not sure my conscience will allow a vote for Biden either.

I mean very likely after winning and being sworn in Biden would step down end of 2025 allowing Harris to take over
The plan is to get to 2025

Thank you for admitting this is about maintaining power and not doing the best thing for American people.

Except Biden is not winning in November. The polling is atrocious across the board. There is no chance he wins the Electoral College when he's even losing New Jersey and New Hampshire, not to mention every single "battleground" state. A Biden election is not happening. So the plan to get to 2025 and resign the presidency for Harris is delusional.

How is Trump winning though? More people will vote for him compared to 2020?

Alzheimers is not hereditary.

I watched the debates along with 60 million other people. I don't like Trump's words but he is far more fit and acute and engaged and sharp as a tack than Joe Biden.

That is why the NYT immediately came out with an editorial pleading Biden to step aside.

I don’t know that I would call Trump sharp as a tack- he is old too. But compared Biden, it did appear that way

Trump was just making things up all throughout the debate. Unlike Biden, Trump was also unable to stay focused on the question that the moderators asked. It was clear to me that unlike Biden, he didn't actually have command of any real facts or figures. Fact checkers had a field day with the nonsense that came out of Trump. People with dementia have issues with short term memory, they are bad at memorizing new facts and figures, they have difficulty staying focused on topic. Trump showed far more of those signs during the debate than Biden did.

Trump used the questions asked to pivot to issues where he is perceived as stronger like immigration. That is not a lack of focus; rather he was taking advantage of the debate format.

He definitely does gloss over statistics but that came off better than Biden trying to use statistics and mangling the numbers. Number sense is one of the first things to go in diseases that affect cognitive abilities. If Biden has another debate, his preppers should train him to avoid using numbers in his responses.

Dodging questions shows weakness.

Good grief. Every politician dodges questions or reframes questions to push their agenda.
You must be young.

Every politician has done this for decades. Probably hundreds of years. It’s Strategy 101.

Parkinson’s is hereditary.

I know. It runs in my family, too.

It is said to be hereditary in just 10% to 15% of cases. https://www.parkinson.org/understanding-parkinsons/causes/genetics

My family’s experience with Parkinson’s over six generations runs counter to the data you provided.

Reminds me of the quote: “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” G. Orwell. This is exactly what is going on here. Talk about a real attack on democracy.

Huh? So your family is in the 10 to 15% that is described. Doesn't run counter to the data in the article.

No, more people will not vote for Trump, but fewer will vote at all, and then Biden will lose votes.
