PSA: It is ILLEGAL in VA to drive slow in the left lane of any multi lane road

I'm not sure you understand how traffic is created. It's not created by having more lanes. It's created by needlessly congesting the lanes that one has. Cruising in the left lane CREATES more traffic, because it slows EVERYONE down.

Yes but 75 in left lane and the people coming up at 85-90 --- you have to get out of left lane or you will get a ticket. As I said above troopers will ticket you, not the speeders. The left lane driver is the one that causes accidents not the speeding by itself.

I don’t know who this poster is going on and on about people getting tickets in the left lane. It doesn’t happen. You’re correct about the law, but in over 40 years of driving in Virginia, I have NEVER seen anyone ticketed for driving in the left lane. Ever.

We can’t really see how slowly the car that was pulled over was driving here, but we can see that at least three cars were driving in the left lane. The police pulled over one.

I'm so happy this is being enforced. I absolutely abhor people hanging in the left lane at or below the speed limit. It's for passing, morons. If I'm doing 60 in a 45 mph road and you are in the left lane going 45mph, you need to move over. Otherwise I'll tailgate you.

There is a left exit from the inner loop onto VA-267, so this law does not apply there, and of course some people will be slower in that lane as they are approaching that exit.

The law applies there. If you can't maintain the speed of traffic for a half mile before your exit, you really shouldn't be driving.

Or if you're lingering in the left exit lane for more than a half mile before the exit, you're the ahole.

Op peoplr like you speeding and raging over not being able to do 80 at all times are the reason our roads are a disaster. you are not getting anywhere faster because of how lights are timed, and even if you shave off five minutes you’re not an er doctor rushing to save a life. What are you so enraged about going 10 mph slower for a few miles.? Why do you think you have the right to speed in whatever road you are in and feel so deprived when someone blocks you from that? I genuinely wonder about the road rage here that’s actually the issue as we have record accidents and deaths caused by speeding drivers. You are like addicts endangering the population with your epidemic. Where does that entitlement come from?

LOL I'm like OP but as long as the driver exits left or makes a left then they are a-OK in my book.

Some of us have very fast processing speeds. We don't need to speed- we're more about traffic fitting together (IYKYK) but we watch you with your deliberative stupidity and wonder how you get by in life. I hope they are my next tennis opponent.
