NCSL Rec League

Oh, I see, that makes sense. Yes, my kids play travel now, so I do see the need if there are not enough teams on each academy rec program. thanks!

It would be nice to see the coaches name, because we still have not even received an email from our coach yet. It's these small things that are making the transition difficult for us. Does anyone on this blog know someone at the ecnl rec office that could ask them to post the coaches information on the site like the old SFL site did?

You haven't heard from your rec league coach yet? That has to be an issue with your email address. Games start in a few days. You need to contact your rec league admin and find out who your kid's coach is.

FML! I hate CYA and their lack of response, I hate NCSL and their stupid website. Oh well, I guess my kid can kick dirt at home this season.

Well, you can't blame NCSL for not hearing from your CYA coach. You should know when your rec league is supposed to start and when you should hear from coaches. Call their office. You don't want your kid to miss more practices.

I'm really sorry. That's insanely frustrating. Check your spam folder just in case? And then ask for your money back. I'm sure that'll get a response at least.

That's why you see kids in plain t-shirts with marker or ironed on numbers. Our league wants people to pay $45 for two shirts from soccer.com, wait weeks for shirts to arrive which may not even be until after the season starts and then pay to go get numbers put on them (or I guess, buy them from Amazon and do it yourself, but who even has an iron anymore?). For 8 games?

No, making them do that for 3-4 allstar games is the real racket and waste of money.

Agree, the All Star shirt should be free. Every other rec sport gives out free all star clothes.

For Loudoun the all-star shirt is free. Also for Loudoun you pay as much for all-star as the regular season.

Really? Our league charges $40 plus the $20 and that felt like a rip off for the quality of the tournament and a handful of half-hearted practices.

$160 plus $30 for the optional backpack. They tried to claim it was a good deal, for 15 hours, by including the match time plus the tryout time.

Wow. I can't believe anyone pays that. That's almost as bad as SYA's $270 rec soccer charge.

Interesting to see the huge price differences for what is 100% the same product. (Playing in the SFL and practicing in mud- $110 from Gunston or $270 from SYA; $160 or $60 for playing in the Herndon all star tournament.)

Has anyone heard back on getting their Fredericksburg game moved or rescheduled? Ours is next week and the teamsnap shows all declines.

Our club rep said he was waiting to hear back from NCSL but that 100% we wouldn't be driving to Fburg

I would expect the game to remain on the calendar. Allowing teams to decline the game essentially kicks Fredericksburg out of the league
