So maybe it is pitched to parents as "travel soccer light" so they aren't surprised when the away games are far away. But damn, that's pricy for 7 regular rec games and it looks like their home games will basically be in effect forfeits with no shows from the other teams. Ouch.

$450 plus $100 in uniform fees.

$550 and all of their home games are forfeits

A bonfire of money would be a more fun plan. Least you could do smores.

What stops them from signing up a rec team?

Why doesn't SFL count as a travel team?

Someone said tournaments don't allow rec teams. I am asking why a club's SFL team doesn't count as a travel team?

Because SFL is a rec league?

Match today- one ref, annoying parent who kept yelling 'man on'. Let the players on the field say that.

They are traveling quite a bit and playing other clubs. And at least some of the clubs it is not open admission.

SFL / NCSL rec teams don't have player cards, that's why. Their team is also not registered in the VYSA travel soccer database.

The team cannot register itself on its on as a "Travel" team, only your club can do it.
