100% been saying this for YEARS and yet, people still flock to that place.

Disliking FF has been a thing since Seitsema’s 0 star review like 10 years ago; I don’t know anyone who thinks it is good.

This. It’s the restaurant everyone loves to hate.

Over on Reddit they passed around a thread that was something like “recommend a restaurant to someone you don’t like”. FF was the overwhelming winner. So, yeah, the hate is widespread.

Have moved from the area, and miss this place! I love it!!!!!

Their rice is the best!

No, agree with the PP. Moby Dick is over rated, expensive, and takes forever to get your food.

Hell yes. I don’t get the appeal.

Burger King has regressed. I don't get why so many people put it in that top fast-food group.

Eh, it’s a chain restaurant, not fine dining. I like it for what it is.

Someone mentioned Zatinya; I've been going for 20 years and still find it consistently delicious.

Yes! I just ate at Zaytinya a couple weeks ago as a reunion get-together with a friend that moved away from DC 7 years ago and was in town on a work trip. We were both so happy to see the quality is still top notch and the restaurant looks great and our service was excellent during a busy lunch service. Yes, it's sticking with a time-tested model as I think it's been open for 15 years, maybe longer? If I still lived in DC I probably would focus on more exciting and new restaurants, but Zaytinya is still as good as it's ever been.

+1. Occasionally there is a small, independently owned one that's pretty good.

True Foods. Every single meal I've had there (and I've been at least 3 times) has been way too salty.

Their breakfast burritos are on point though...

This. I agree Anita's in not good EXCEPT FOR THE BREAKFAST BURRITOS!! Have oyu had them PP, because that is what a lot of the Anita's ravers are raving about!

Le Diplomat - it's ok but not special
Rasika - it's ok but not my favorite Indian by a long shot
Cane - its meh, the service sucks, too pricey
Ethiopic - their vegetarian combo was bad twice, and most Ethiopian placces excel at vegetarian
El Presidente - very forgettable food
Indigo but only because their portions are too stingy
St Anselm because they served me a winter squash salad with butternut squash that was CRUNCHY. And then half the sides I tried were way too salty. I gave them two chances so they get no more.

Basically, I don't like anything and am always underwhelmed for the amount I spent.

Rasika. Overpriced and bland. You get better stuff for 1/4 price in Curry Alley.

The Dabney. Tried it twice and hated it and left hungry. I'm not a big drinker and this might be related -- servers pushing cocktails hard. Food was comically tiny.

Their breakfast burritos are not good. They are sad.

Meh is quite a bit better than I would rate Founding Farmers - actually, the entire chain.
