What restaurant does everyone love but you think is meh?

Agree with Founding Farmers and Matchbox - both have definitely gone downhill. I also felt St. Anselm was just meh.

Rose’s Luxury gets so much love and to me it’s a case of the emperor has no clothes.

Not a fan of Xiquet. Food was good, but portions were comically small, especially the signature paella.

Also think Two Amy’s is overrated.

I don’t like Two Amy’s. Burnt mediocre pizza is not good.

Yup

You guys just have such an advanced palette and such elevated tastes, I’m incredibly fortunate to even post on the same anonymous message board as you. Wow.

Let me guess, everything in NYC is delectable right? Or is it Paris? Or are you going to go for a really deep reach and just say nothing can compare to the delicacies you enjoyed on your study abroad in Johannesburg or Delhi? Which way are you going to play this?

Palate.

You’re aware of autocorrect or do you have your head too far up your rear to have learned of this feature? It’s notoriously unable to read context clues and correct typos appropriately.

NP. Why didn’t you proofread your own post?

Because this is the internet? WGAF

100% been saying this for YEARS and yet, people still flock to that place.

Disliking FF has been a thing since Seitsema’s 0 star review like 10 years ago; I don’t know anyone who thinks it is good.

This. It’s the restaurant everyone loves to hate.

She was too busy writing an insulting screed that she thought was clever.

Sfoglina—I liked Fiola before it became crazy fancy and Casa Luca but have only had mediocre food and service at Sfoglina.

I thought Opal was good. *shrugs*

Oh yes - Lebanese Taverna. It used to be great (in my opinion) but that was many years ago. About once a year I think why haven’t we eaten there in awhile, we go, and then I remember why. The quality has gone down hill.

+1 Was going to write this.

Two Amy’s and Comet Ping Pong. I feel nostalgia for Two Amy’s when it was the only alternative to Dominos, and I supported CPP after the crazy pedophile shoot up, but their pizza is burnt on the outside and goopy and raw in the middle.

Maybe NoVA-specific but Anita’s. I know it’s supposed to be old-school and a lot of people have nostalgia for the place, but it’s just gross. It’s gross Mexican, it’s gross Tex-Mex, it’s gross Americanized Mexican.

As soon as I read your title I clicked in to say FF. It's terrible.

Their breakfast burritos are on point though...
