And no 120 pancakes are not enough

The sheet pan ones are a great idea.

Your sides are absurd your child is 3.

Have fun.

Thats only 10-12 families (perhaps some of their family too).

That may be but pancakes for that many whipped up by one person is the problem. Find easier food for s crowd that size.

Op here, thanks for all the thoughts!

It's just Dh and my siblings/spouses/kids, our parents, our closest 5 family friends (parents and kids) and our next door neighbor family we are really close with.

Mimosas are on because I have 2 bottles of champagne that didn't get used on new Yeats.

Dh and I were planning on making all the pancakes the night before together after the kids go to bed and then warming them up in the oven in the morning but now you all have me feeling like I'm crazy

Um, you can't serve that crap to your family. Turn this into a pot luck and serve your family real food. It would be different if this was preschool classmates.

When I show up for my niece and nephew's birthday parties, I assure you that I am NOT there for the food.

That's pretty sad. Why does your family do this to each other?

OP, I think this sounds like a lot of fun. You'll be fine with your plan to make them ahead and warm up in the oven that morning.

My main comment to the original post was going to be skip the mimosas, but if you already have the champagne you might as well use it.

Chocolate chips, whipped cream, sprinkles and syrup are all the toppings you need. I love the idea of a big stack of pancakes with a candle for your DD.

You don't need a meat dish. People were invited to a pancake party, they know they're getting pancakes. It's fine.

Have fun!!!

Clearly a troll.

This sounds like such a sweet party and you’re a great mom for giving your daughter exactly what she wants.

You definitely don’t need any meat. Have some cut up fruit as a side — maybe a big pot of scrambled eggs if you’re up for it.

I recommend putting sprinkles in the pancake batter—it looks so pretty and is less messy than using it as a topping. Along the same lines do not use blueberries in the pancakes to avoid mess—only as toppings.

You mean OP? Acting surprised that her family is coming to this party? Please. This menu is not appropriate for a family party.

Ugh, no. Not all kids will eat pancakes with junk in the batter. Keep it simple. No sprinkles at all.

I think you need more. My older kids and dh eat 4-6 each. My younger kids eat at least 2.
60 people is insane. Are you sure you want to do this? I’d seriously just send an email and say the birthday girl has come down w/ something and then just do a small beothfsy brunch at home.

I mean, what else are you planning on doing for two hours besides eating a darn pancake?!? It takes five minutes to throw some sprinkles on a premade pancake and eat it. I would cancel the party honestly, money or not.

Pancakes made the night before don’t taste good. They need to be fresh to taste good. It’s for kids so they won’t know the difference. Just sayin’.

Sounds like fun but way too many people.

OP here's what you need to do to make your life easier.

Make a bunch of pancakes... as many as you can handle, but don't try to make enough for 60 people.

Supplement with things you can easily purchase that are relatively cheap. For example, get some bagels & cream cheese + some cut up fruit. Or better yet, ask someone in your family to take care of that for you. I'm assuming they know about your job & stress? If I'm your sister, I'd take care of this for you in a heart beat.

Do NOT try to scramble eggs for this party. Scrambled eggs do not keep well past like 5 minutes. You don't need to be cooking bacon or making sausages either.

This way, your daughter & the other kids can get their pancake bar, and the adults can nosh on bagels & fruit.

Just tell everyone what you're doing so they can plan accordingly.
