I love bacon more than is reasonable, but with 18 kids, do NOT nix the mimosas.

60 is a lot of people but if you have the space for it, go for it.

As for food, I’m known for being a great hostess, party planner and chef. I would not serve pancakes that were previously frozen. I would buy hungry jack frozen pancakes and waffles. Set up a fixins bar with juice and coffee. If you are going to have that many people, make sure it is nice. Have fun!

I'm sure some of your friends have electric griddles - borrow them!

+1

Make a few bowls of batter and have 2 or 3 friends work the griddle. Pancakes are fast and taste a lot better fresh of the griddle.

Agree with the suggestions given here but I'd say if you're looking to add things esp for adults - go with bagels and cream cheese. Need not be anything fancy - I'm talking the bags of mini bagels and tubs of cream cheese you can pick up at any grocery store. I think between pancakes and possibly fruit or mini muffins on the side, that is a LOT of sugar. I know kids love that but I think you'll find for a 9 am party - some adults will be happy to grab pancakes for their kids while happily just eating 1-2 mini bagels themselves with coffee and calling it a party. On the plus side - fewer pancakes for you to cook bc in any group there are always adults who aren't interested in super sweet foods.

Op here and we are just gonna go for it. I went shopping today and we are having pancakes with toppings: butter, syrup, chocolate chips, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and fresh strawberries. I got a bunch of melons on sale so doing a fruit salad on the side of watermelon, honey dew, cantaloupe, and pineapple. I ordered several boxes of fresh coffee from a local coffee shop which also supplies the cups, cream, and sugar for pick up that morning. Got OJ on sale, enough for the kids and the mimosas. I love tea so already have a large variety on hand. Also got 2 cases of mini water bottles.

I busted out my grandma's china set (pink floral) serving pieces and DH's grandma's vintage table linens (pinks and lace) and a tea set my grandma got for her wedding (white with gold polka dots). I got pink, white, and gold balloons and am just rolling with some sort of vintagey kitchy pancake party.

I also got little aprons for the kids to decorate and wear while they eat.

No cake, will sing HBD with a tower of pancakes.

Also, almost every guest added in how much they love that it's a Sunday morning party so PSA if you want a party where all guests attend go for 9:30am Sunday

Will report back.

I second this. Nuts are expensive. Kids love whipped cream and chocolate chips. Keep it simple. Also, in my experience a lot of the parents probably won't have anything.

I'm really happy you are going for it.
I hope you and your guest have fun. Give an update once it's over.

haha love when OP posts asking for feedback then ignores all feedback and goes with their initial plan. WTG.

I e
Honestly wouldn't expect the adults/parents to eat much. I had morning parties like this for my preschooler where we served bagels and cookies fuit cake etc... And had so much food leftover. Parents never eat.
