3yo requested a pancake party...

OP, you are allowed to phone this one in.

18 kids? Do 2 sheet pans of pancakes with mini chocolate chips or sprinkles mixed in. Cut each into 20 -- 2 pancakes per kid. Serve on paper plates with whipped cream and sprinkles on top. Plus juice boxes. If you want to be fancy get some silver and gold sprinkles from Michaels.

Bust out some coffee and buy some cheap mini muffins at the store for the adults. The grown-ups won't eat at the party anyway.

And be good to yourself. Take some time to relax and just veg out in front of the tv. Frozen pizza for dinner all week if you need to.

You invited 60 people to a three year olds birthday party?!? Does your kid even know everyones name that is coming? This sounds like a disaster. I mean, what else are you planning on doing for two hours besides eating a darn pancake?!? It takes five minutes to throw some sprinkles on a premade pancake and eat it. I would cancel the party honestly, money or not.

I wish I could help you. Can you reach out to a friend or relative for a little cohosting help? Preferably someone with a large plug in griddle

You can make pancakes ahead of time and reheat them. I’d maybe add some bagels and cream cheese and fresh fruit. Keep it simple. Plain, chocolate chip, sprinkles, blueberry. Don’t over think it. Maybe waffles if you have a waffle iron. And, maybe some milk for the kids.

You're completely off base with the disaster predictions. Op can do this and everyone will have fun, maybe moreso if there's an amusing mishap.

If you invite families it’s not that many. I’ve done them that big but I did pizza, make your own sandwiches, salad, veggie and fruit plates and dips, and chips. So, some could be done the day before.

Op, you could also buy some frozen pancakes and waffles and do a topping bar with fruit, sprinkles, chocolate chips, chocolate syrup, etc. the kids will not care and make nicer stuff for the parents.

No waffle irons, that will be much more work. Fresh pancakes are the best way to go for people to enjoy them and not just eat a couple of bites. Find someone who has been a scoutleader and can cook pancakes quickly for a large group.

OP. If you think you need more, consider a few of those egg casseroles. They would be very easy and feed many.

The more i think about this the worse of an idea i think it is. Make the special pancakes just for your kid the morning of the party for breakfast and just serve light snacks at the party. Goldfish, mini muffins, yogurt tubes. The thought of having to take each kid thru the serving line, get all their pancake toppings, cut the pancakes, then watch them miss their mouth with the fork as the sticky pancakes fall on the floor makes me rethink this is a bad idea for you OP.

Cute idea OP - years ago I hosted a simple breakfast 'pajama" party for our 3 year old (fruit, bagels and mini muffins)- no pancakes, but the kids all came in their pajamas - and the parents and kids all loved it. I'd def. try to figure out a way to simplify the pancake process as some have suggested - but I predict everybody will have a great time! Enjoy!

Waffles are good as you can do them early and keep them warm in the oven. You can with pancakes too but they dry out quicker.

This.

People this is not brunch for 60 people!!

The adults will not or should not eat.

Every party I had like this the adults ate. As a host, you feed everyone. You can get cheap boxes of pancake mix from Walmart or Aldi's.

And no 120 pancakes are not enough

The sheet pan ones are a great idea.

Your sides are absurd your child is 3.

Have fun.

Thats only 10-12 families (perhaps some of their family too).

Ugh, just cancel the party at this point.
