I’m a big fan of bringing back God’s intent. With fewer ER doctors choosing to practice in Texas hospitals, it’s going to be a lot more likely that Texas’s super-size conservatives are going to die from their heart attacks and strokes. Just like God intended when he gave them the heart attacks and strokes in the first place. |
Yes. She goes on to say that the 9th Circuit is deciding on a similar case in Idaho later this month. The assumption at this point is that those results will be different and SCOTUS will have to weigh in. If they decide that the inhumane laws in the pro-forced birth states supersede the federal law that EMTALA is, watch out. |
Let’s not tell them anymore. They’re safe in their little forced birther community bubbles and have no idea about the outside world. They suck off the teat of right wing media, happy that someone agrees with everything they think and oblivious to the fact they’re being spoon fed lies and propaganda. |
Agree. There is something seriously wrong with these people. How do people stand living in Texas, knowing their highest judicial bodies are okay with sick women dying? |
Wrong. It *IS* preventing medically necessary abortions. Women are having to leave the state out of medical necessity. Doctors have testified that the laws are too ambiguous and in fact do not give them enough autonomy or ability to perform medically necessary abortions. I cannot believe this idiot above has the gall to say "false" when Texas has been an absolute disaster where it comes to medically necessary abortions. |
A judge or a lawyer should not have any part of making decisions about what is medically necessary. That needs to be left to physicians. |
Is there a thread about this unfortunate Ohio woman being prosecuted for “abuse of a corpse” after miscarrying at home at 21 weeks? The fetus was already dead and she had been trying to get care in a hospital for 2 days prior to that.

And that’s how the law will be applied: to anyone they think they can get away with prosecuting and attacking. Racist forced birther pigs. |
Women can't travel out of Texas for abortion services, but Abbott pays for migrants to be bussed out of the state of Texas. So over the GOP. |
Yes https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1167236.page |
I wish that thread was in Political forum where it belongs. It’s not Off-Topic. |
Not in mass, and clearly not fast enough. |
Not sure Michigan is a win this year in a national election. Local and state wins, yes. National, I don’t think so. Same for Pennsylvania. |
I think you're on to something... |
You prove my point that Democrats focus far too much on Federal elections while all these anti abortion bills (and extremism in general) is a product of state governments. I’m not saying we can ignore Trump, but for way too long Democrats have ceded state and local power to GOP. That said, I seriously doubt MI and PA will vote Trump. I understand why you are concerned but think Dems are much better positioned. |
