This thread is about women being denied life saving healthcare, that the 5th circuit has decided they are not entitled to.
The GOP has told us where they stand
There will be no exceptions .
Women are not equal and their lives don’t matter.
Vote single issue for women’s lives until it’s resolved.

We can’t just vote. We need to volunteer & donate. We need to have uncomfortable conversations with anyone slightly movable. We need to educate voters about what’s at stake and not just the horse race of politics. There are elections every week until 2024. All efforts help us build our activist muscles. There are groups doing voter registration now. Don’t wait.

If you need help finding an org reply to this thread with your level of comfort and preferred state and I can point you to volunteer & donate efforts.

+1 to you both. I’m trying to think what my level of comfort is.

that's up to the mother

And the father. In my own family history, once the mother died in childbirth, the father usually gave the kids to a family member because he couldn't afford to raise them on his own.

Most mothers and fathers don't want to sacrifice the rest of their family for a fetus.

Sort of but not really
The father doesn’t get to decide the mother should die for his fetus.
So it’s not AND the father.
It’s just the mother.

Unless she decides otherwise.
The end

Writing a book of fiction, I see.

Both mother and baby are equally valuable.

Suppose that mother already has children. Are you saying that, to those children, the life of their mother is less than that of a potential future sibling who may (likely, probably) not even survive?
Are we into orphaning existing children now?

The mother's life is always more important.
She is an actual person. The fetus is not.

At what point does the fetus attain equal status as the mother?

When it is born.

Yes. They believe women should die. There is no equal for them. They believe the fetus takes precedence. They obfuscate and try to change the subject, but in the end, they believe the fetus is more important.
And we know that because they are preventing women from accessing life saving care, in favor of the fetus.

When we say the GOP wants the 1850s with cell phones, we mean it. They do not care about the woman and as soon as the fetus is delivered, they cease caring about that, too. They do not care. They want women powerless; taking over women’s bodies is the first way to do that.

Conservatives? Yes, apparently. The fetus rules all and is more important than the mother, her future fertility, and any other children that are already there. Only the fetus is important, once it becomes an actual child they don't care about it.

And all the pain they cause. That’s part of their joy. Forced birthers effectively have a sadism kink. It’s not BDSM because they have the consent of no one, but they sure derive pleasure from the agony of millions.

A very simple start is to send hand-written letters to help promote youth registration & voting in Arizona.

The Civics Center has launched a campaign focused on parents of teens in Arizona. You will need to print letters and add some personal context (they give examples) and sign first name only. Deadline to sign up is January 19. You’ll supply paper, envelopes, printing, and postage. They’ll give you all the instructions and a template to work from. It's super easy and you can choose as little as 10 letters to send.

Anti-abortion/science folks will claim it's ok but they just don't want their hard earned taxes paying woke institutions like the NIH to murder babies but if funding were the case, Scalise and team's argument should be that. But NO, their argument is claiming that embryos are babies.

We need to bring biology back to public education. Oh wait, they anti-abortionists homeschool.
