Is NYU still Top 25?

NYU is a recognizable name and a strong school with accomplished faculty. It's in NYC, which means a very different experience than a school with a more cohesive campus. That should be a primary consideration for anyone deciding between NYU and another large private university.

Most undergrads in the T100 are good. But I'm only willing to pay 300k for a name brand with strong ascending reputation. Is that NYU? That's what I'm asking.

You are an idiot.

If money is not much of an object, NYU is a great brand and choice.

Yes, it’s in a safe, well-run city where the streets are clean, the drivers are sane, & all of its diverse citizens embrace each other’s individual value in the dazzling array of customs & languages.

Best of all, it’s affordable for college kids, & has many wholesome activities for people of all ages. Yes sir, a degree from NYU is a passport to success & acceptance across the country, because whether it’s Alabama or Idaho, everyone brightens up when they know a real New Yorker has just walked in the door.

As an Asian, I would feel safer in NYC than a middle of nowhere redneck towns.

It is not WashU/Emory level now, nor was it before; it’s a notch below. I also see Emory as a notch below WashU.
As for US News rankings, hadn’t it ranked Stanford as #6 for many years? Please.

If anything Emory is the best of the 3.

Certainly not for comp sci or engineering

or business

Most of the important stuff that matters.

NYU and Emory were to top choices for ED for my kid.

Went with NYU and got in. Will choose NYU again if accepted to both and have options.

NYU has better business school, better engineering, better CS.

Emory is really not considered above NYU for many people.

Except US news, and the rest of the rankings. Lol. Also a higher percentage of wealthy/private students apply to Emory than NYU so there that too.

What is and isn't important is not up to you. Last time I checked the government considered nurses essential. Regardless Emory is still the more prestigious school.
