No, but if this is the lifestyle of a handmaiden then sign me up.

I didn’t know QEII’s ghost was posting on DCUM.

Since QE2 died she's definitely letting go more.

Their recent promotions are weighing on them. They look as if they're carrying the weight of the world (well, England) on their shoulders. I hope it's all worth it for them.

Clothes look great on Kate. But they went too quickly to the dowdy/Queen phase with Kate. She could and should be rocking some fashion.

I love this outfit. I love the huge bow, the cape, all of it. I’d wear it in a more muted color, without the hat.

I like her well enough, but let’s not pretend she’s working a full time job, parenting, food shopping, cooking for her kids, and still finding the time to cook healthy things for herself and take time out our her busy life and desk job to exercise. I seriously doubt she even styles her own hair. She carries a very small mental load and even less of a domestic one.

Many other royals and extremely wealthy individuals have the same lifestyle and they don’t look as regal as Kate.

I like Kate. I think she’s very pretty and I love her fashion sense, but to me she looks decidedly middle class, not regal in the slightest. In fact, I think that’s why I like her.

While she had the equivalent of an UMC childhood, she’s made the full transition to royalty. This is how it’s done! She looks every bit of royal to me.

She’d look a lot better with a few more pounds on her. Her face looks gaunt.

Hardly. She flashed everyone getting out of the car.

You seem weirdly obsessed with this.

She looks like the heroine of a WWII film. Not bad, just a little much. I'd like to see her find a way to update this look a little bit.

Girl, this is exactly what I liked about it. When do any of us have an occasion to seriously dress like this? Kate Middleton is literally the only one who can wear our fantasy, right-out-of-history wardrobes in public.

That’s a good point.

Yes - almost no one gets to be an actual princess - I say princess it up with your big old hat and cape.
